Said this in another review. Zack is the king of bloat and excess with no soul. His ideas of mature and adult themes like sex and violence are like a teenage boy who has just discovered porn and just read his first issue of the boys. Also weird side note. I cannot decide if I think Nemesis is hot or not.

But it’s literally his thing. He’s good at doing it what was anyone expecting. I thought the final battle was extremely impressive. I really liked it. Like a lot. Your opening salvo was super based. No need for a "directors cut" when you got the exact film you wanted It's kinda like Tim Burton getting the rep for being the "wizard of weird"... and then he leaned into it a bit too hard. zack snyder's biggest fan is zack snyder, didnt you get the memo? no one should gave a shit about zack snyder anymore, leave the scraps for the dogs, his worth is the same as any of The Asylum productions, the justice league snyder cut is also a LIE, you know why the resolution was weird in that cut? its to hide gal gadot's ass in the hangar scene, its so that zack could come back to hollywood by being politically correct and respectful to THE jewish woman wrapped in star and stripes, and it also mean that zack snyder lied about not seeing the theatrical cut
@marhawkman3033 ай бұрын
Well.. BvS... the Director's cut... was because the film had to get cut down for a theater slot. that extra 30 minutes... made a difference. But it only HAD a director's cut because of the theatrical release rules. It genuinely WAS the original cut.... the theatrical cut was a pared down version.

166 million dollars is still a whisker under 1/6 of the cost of Rings of Power, a series that, so far, has been superbly bad. IMHO Snyder tried to take on too many different jobs, instead of doing well what he can, & leaving others to do well what they are good at doing.

I kinda like both movies, 1st one is better in most areas, though still lacks substance & character-progression. Right, but I can accept this now, for the bigger part. Minus the useless sexparts, especialy the Hentai one, like wtf. 2nd one on the other hand, though better now, is still very weak. Yes, the action/spectacle is the main goal, which works, but the characters now are still very weak, nothing of importance was added. The enemy now is even more stupid with the neb content. Yes, the part with the giant outer-dimensional cyber-goddess, whatever, is good, it hints at something interesting for the future, but then it's not real, only a vision, and I was like why do this like this, wasted potential, make her go rampage in the ship. By now I think this is a universe where humans basicly are mad & stupid, and subconsciously try to become "normal" again, but ultimately fail. Still, the WH40K style, the R-Rated SW mentality, the brutal action, that's something I want, it's way more Disney-SW can do, and real WH40K does seem to have it's own problems with making live-action. To be fair, it's now 6+ hours long, that's at least 1 hour too long, for weak characters & cryptic worldbuilding, interesting, but not good enough, I do believe everything here could've been done in a single 4 hour movie without losing any context of the DCs or making it too fast. I kinda like it, I would buy the DCs on BR, but this needs serious improvement. Zack Snyder, this is your 2nd weakest project, I think. That Las Vegas Zombiepocalypse movie was kinda bad, best case, watch it once, it's barely fine & entertaining, and then forget it for the bigger part. "Rebel Moon" at the very least is entertaining & gives you some WH40K stuff. Stolen, copied, no original ideas & thoughts in there at all, but, still, better than Dismal Disney productions...

A single 4 hour movie? Do you guys hear yourselves anymore.

@@ANTIStraussian A single season of 6 - 8 episodes would've probably worked better. The structure even looks like it, with the warbot parts being the opening of each episode. However as a movie it's just thrown in, which is 1 of many problems. The whole foundation is still unbalanced. To be honest, script & especialy characters, as presented, remind me of "The Asylum" movies, quality-wise.

What you stated is complete bullshit. There was no lie. The fact that the directors cuts exist means that he sidnt gave fill crewtive control in the pg13 version. If he did he would have just released his versions. The script was originally written as r rated. The directors cuts represent that script. So yeah it is how it was meant to be without the mandates by netflix or their notes. That was part of their deal. Calling jt an extended versiin is completely false and ignorant cause they are not the same thing. There is so much if it thats different.

Genuine question - what made the director’s cut better? Did they flesh out all the characters or did they just add violence, gore and sex? Because I won’t watch it if it’s just the same exact story with nothing to give it any more character development. The pg-13 versions were so boring and I’m not going to invest more time in it if all they added was violence and sex.
