The budget for all 4 of the cuts for Rebel Moon was about 170 million... Zack essentially made 4 movies for the price of 1 Hollywood Blockbuster... You can look this up by the way. It's not a random number I just came up with. Zack was pretty much showing netflix look what I can do for a lower budget. Netflix is loving Snyder right now ❤

He originally wanted to do a rated r movie so Netflix let him do his rated r version but he had to do a PG 13 version to do his full vision.

Netflix required he do a PG-13 version initially but ZS wanted to do an R-Rated Star Wars franchise. So Netflix let him do both versions.

I don’t think it’s his thing, It just seems like he’s found a way around the bureaucracy of the studios and makes deals to release the theatrical cuts then the “directors cut” out on DVD. But I hope he delivers with Rebel Moon 🤙🏼 good reaction guys.

In the past when zack was working with WB he made director cuts for his movies like watchmen,justice league because the studio didn't allow him to make the versions he wanted the audience to see and those versions were superior but with Rebel moon zack told Netflix that his version would be R rated but they asked him to make those pg 13 versions and it wasn't good cuz it couldn't tell zack's story so hopefully with this R rated version zack will deliver for the fans what they hoped for to see in Rebel Moon, as for the budget zack made all these 4 Rebel Moon movies for only 180 million dollars . So far snyder has 3 directors cuts, one from Dawn of the dead, one from watchmen and ZSJL (with that specific title) if we add the extended cuts from watchmen, Sucker punch and the ultimate cut from BvS then he has 6 already released, plus these two of RM= will make him have 8, while Ridley Scott has 11, James Cameron has around 4. Studios prefer shorter and no so violent content out there so more people can watch it and so it can ends up being more profitable for them. Both rebel moon pg13 cuts (already released) went to cinemas in USA before streaming on Netflix, that made the first part eligible to enter the Oscars but at the end it didn’t make it. Still its time length fit better for a theatrical release than the directors cut, from this perspective it makes sense although I agree with you, only these directors cut should exist but Since the beginning it was publicly known that Snyder and Netflix agreed in making 4 movies, 2 pg13 and the 2 directors cut at the same time filming back to back but the last two to be released later. Now, Those pg13 were requested by Netflix since the beginning and of course were more restricted by them. Snyder said no I want my version, Netflix said no then he proposed the option of giving them their pg13 versions but only if they allowed him to make his own directors cut with full freedom, they said ok but how, Snyder proposed this and at the end they agreed making 2 versions of each chapter (4 movies in total) for the price of 1, with a budget of (around )$80 million per chapter with 2 versions.

Yup! 2 more movies dropping on the same day. The total budget was 160 million for 4 movies. Pretty good budgeting. Hopefully the directors cuts are good. They’re the ones I was looking forward to anyway.

So this was the original vision shot. But along the way he did scenes for the PG13 version It wasn't because Zack wanted to mimic the Snydercut.. per say. With the budget and violence; Netflix wanted a wide appeal version to get the most eyes on it.. then Zack could release his version. It wouldn't of got made otherwise

Gentlemen The Directors Cut was announced before the film came out and it's the real version of the film and the reason the first two films were made was because Netflix wanted PG-13 versions first for the general casual audience thats the reason. Zack stated over a 1 year ago that the real version was going to be totally different and was coming out way later in 2024 and both films will be 3 hrs a piece total of 6 hrs so enjoy the ride cause it's time the real film. And me personally believed this should of been the version out but Netflix wanted the casuals to get involved

Netflix wanted a pg13 version and Zack Snyder delivered. They allowed him to make the alternate (DC) versions from the beginning. This was planned and known for over a year.

The whole concept was explained way before the first two got released. There was never a confusion about the intention on what will be done, from Netflix and Zack himself. I don't get the criticism here.

This is what nextflix are doing they are making rebal moon part 1 and 2 for kids and there also making rebal moon part 1 and 2 for adults 2 version of the same film. No one gets left out
