Alright, so are they all poor and living in food deserts and can't afford to buy healthy food? Or...are they complaining about lack of inclusion on clothing that a lot of us "thins" can't even afford. For many of us, it's food and cheap Walmart, Costco, and Bjs clothing. So again, it's like being slapped in the face over and over by these privileged, obese, white women telling us(black lesbos(@ marginalized in two ways)) to shut up "thinmint"(they've actually said the word thin mint, not in a racist way...I think, just to attempt to bully us with a cute pet name lol) anyway. They keep claiming the body positivity has been stolen. They stole it and turned it into fat acceptance, body positive would be someone lost a leg, but continue to care for themselves and live and treat their bodies like they deserve to be treated. Yet, these FAs sit on their tiktoks and whine and cry about how their poor decisions have consequences, but they don't like the consequences...so now the rest of us are the bad guys for somewhat slightly taking care of our bodies. I'd love to live off of crying into the camera while shitting on other human beings for MAKING BETTER CHOICES. And oh my gosh, I'm not saying we're all perfect if we're not obese, I don't support cigarette smoking, binge drinking, and other harmful actions people decide to take part in, and yeah we all have our issues, but you don't see coke heads on the internet shitting on everyone who doesn't do coke for...not doing coke, as if we're assholes or something?? Any way, I watched your video twice while typing this out😅 I'm running errands

I remember, as a later teen, seeing ads for body positivity mid 2000's and early 2011. It wasn't about obesity, or morbid obesity, it was about people who lost limbs, had born deformities, or scarring from great injury, and those who stood out from either having vitiligo or naturally went against gender norms. I genuinely felt a sense of joy for those people, but now I feel sorrow. Their entire movement was hijacked for the sake of a narrative that I hope is as short lived as it's activists.

When I was around overweight individuals, I didn't care at all about their weight or appearance. Frankly, people with restricitive EDs are so preoccupied with their daily routines that they almost have no time to think of anything else. Restrictive EDs are all about the control you impose on your OWN body, why should they care what you do to yourself? It doesn't affect their personal goals in any way. Also, this could have been just me, however, restrictive EDs are not 100% about losing fat. When I was sick, I just wanted the numbers to go down since that indicated I was doing "good". I refrained from drinking water and even shaved my head to reduce my weight. I would have even removed my organs if that was an option. This is how messed up it can get. This is a serious mental illness which often has a fatal end. It infuriates me when fat activists, who did 0 research, decide to attack those with restricitive EDs by throwing around "fatphobic" which makes them feel even worse. Same. I was very picked on daily at school being told I was too short, fat, and ugly. Then I had kids and did get very fat. Then I lost it. Me too. I struggled with my weight for years - mostly overweight, but I also went through a two-year period of anorexia starting at 17. I was very overweight again in my forties, following the birth of my child and some issues with depression, but it wrecked my health, and I was in and out of hospital with serious health issues that were largely due to being so overweight, so a couple of years ago I made a solid effort and finally got myself down to a healthy weight. And I'll admit, I'm terrified of gaining it all back again - not least because I'd gain all those previous health problems back with it - which is why I work my ass off to make sure it doesn't happen. If that makes me 'fatphobic' that's fine, I'll own it. I don't shame or ridicule plus-size people, and it wouldn't occur to me to do so - it's not my business what they want to do with their lives or their bodies. It'd be nice if the Fat Activist Movement could extend the same courtesy to us 'fatphobics,' without always having to make it all about them.

I'm currently losing weight, and I've realised that by staying in our comfort zone, it's really too easy to pick on people because they "don't offer clothes in larger sizes". Someone who is tall or short can't change their size, but someone who is obese has, a choice and can choose to improve their health. If you want to fit in clothes you have to make changes , or you just have to wait for someone else to launch a brand that also includes other sizes.

(Yes I eat, no I don’t have an ED- just an incredibly ridiculous metabolism and an intermittent fasting diet). Clothing just sucks- for all sizes. Hello, long time Swiftie here, been a fan since Tim McGraw came out and am now 24. Yes Taylor obviously has a lot of new fans who are younger than me but I feel like her core fan base is old enough to know that the scale saying “fat” isn’t meant to shame anyone. Taylor has always put so much of herself into her music and videos and for these awful people to turn her past insecurities into an attack on their bodies is so fucking disgusting. Even as a person who’s struggled with similar issues as Taylor, I have the mental capacity and critical thinking skills to know that she’s portraying her feelings and experiences, she’s not out here telling people they should starve themselves or even that they should lose weight. Her portrayal of her experience in the music video was just that, a portrayal of something she went through in the past. Wanting to be skinny or having anorexias/bulimia doesn’t mean you hate fat people, it’s a psychological fear of gaining weight that has no effect whatsoever on these fat positive individuals. Personally, I think there should be a new category of eating disorder for these people who don’t want to lose weight. If they wanna twist Taylor’s anorexia into her being fat phobic, then someone who refuses to lose weight should be thin phobic, and we all know how often they say they hate the “thins” but hating fat people is bad “I’m the victim here, don’t bully me for my weight while I bully thin people for having an eating disorder that makes them fear gaining weight, it’s completely different.” Fuck all the way off 🙄
@reaganjaegan Жыл бұрын
There's even another song on the album with the line "I hosted parties and starved my body", I remember thinking when the Blank Space video came out, "gosh, she's looking really thin." These people have to make everything about themselves rather than acknowledging the trauma that women (especially in Hollywood) go through to feel accepted.
@monsterzz_ink Жыл бұрын
the bad thing is that these people constantly seek validation. Taylor has her personal experiences so they have no right invalidating her. Also, they shouldn't generalize. If you were triggered by her mv say "I am triggered by this" block her and move on. Seriously grow up.

It was my psychologist that literally took me to the nutritionist cause the way I was loosing weight, was not right. It took me 9 months to lose 20kg with proper diet and discipline, as soon as I saw the difference that a balanced diet did for me I went back to the gym and dancing and that accelerated the process. Being back to be able to buy clothes in any store, not feeling uncomfortable trying to fit on a bus seat, not living in joga pants cause it was the only thing that fitted me and more. Now I'm back overweight, but again, i Take the full accountability for my situation, and will go back to that weight. I measure my food intake, healthy meal prep for the week (menu plan). Drink 2l of water. Once a week, cheet day, where I allow myself a nice hamburger and beer. And I know I'll be back to the weight that if comfortable with. Me now being overweight doesn't give me the right to slam people who are thinner than me, i made a mistake, i chose to let go of myself and they are not obligated to met my standards cause they own me nothing. the fact that they silenced taylor when she only spoke about her struggles is astonishing and then people wonder why celebs end up addicts or with mental issues
@lillyandrade2038 Жыл бұрын
I truly believe Taylor didn’t have to remove that scene because it shows that she is human. And good for Rebel man! I do want to mention that ladies we all have a huge buying power, if you have to complain for someone has to make more sizes to fit your needs, Michelle said it like you don’t have to purchase her items or support her at all. She’ll be okay lol

The “worst nightmare/thriller scene” so dramatic 😂 So many people are offended by anything and everything. This was not a thing 15-20 years ago, and there I aged myself. Love your hair, your humor, and sharing all the audacity ✌️❤️

What if Rebel Wilson isn’t AGAINST fat OR thin people, and she wanted to be whatever size SHE was comfortable and happy with? Did anyone throwing glass at her for her weight loss ever consider that maybe she personally wasn’t comfortable with he old weight, so she worked on changing her discomfort into comfort? If she’s proud of her hard work, who is ANYBODY who’s so “positive” to say anything is wrong with her for finally being comfortable? If nobody is allowed to shame them, then they shouldn’t be allowed to shame anyone either! I mean come ONN! 🤬

I'm 5'3 and 110 lbs. I am a size 0-2, at least I was until clothing lines decided to change the labeling to make me a 00. I can't find any clothes because while brands have clothes far into the morbidly obese category, they mostly start at 2 and aren't inclusive of thin bodies. Apparently thin girls aren't supposed to have clothes even when we're not underweight because it promotes eating disorders. There's no reason for me to be the smallest size. but it's expected for bigger and bigger sizes to be created. Strange how these things work

I had a similar issue. I started getting my clothes tailored and it really made a Huge difference
@iced_coffee_21 Жыл бұрын
That sucks, girl. I certainly don't have that issue myself, but have you tried shopping online at Asian retailers? The average height/build for women there is closer to your size, I think. I know a shorter+slim guy who says he buys his shirts from Japan because they fit him better without having to get them tailored.

I've noticed that too. I'm a size 4 and with so many brands, my size is the smallest. I don't think I'm that small and I feel bad for women who are smaller than me who have a harder time getting clothes.

I think they could have said, "Hi Rebel! I love your clothing line, but you don't have it in my size. Can you please create XL+ stuff?" Instead of "I just don't understand how dare she not cater to us. After all, she has signed a binding contract in blood under the full moon!"

Not a Swiftie...But, I can see that she wasn't portraying FAT as a bad thing. If was from her perspective when she was suffering from her ED. ALSO, notice she didn't photoshop herself to look obese. It was all about HER perspective and self-deprecation when she was anorexic. These HAES people think everything is about them.

Hey Michelle, I know you probably won't see this, but I was having a terrible day and was relapsing into my ED. I saw you posted and by the end of the video was able to convince myself to try and eat today. Thank you for making these vids. They are very high quality, informative and extremely entertaining. Thank you again.

Most places sell up to 3x, and that’s also not enough for these people. They literally want every store to sell infinifat clothes.

I can see the reasoning behind wanting plus sized clothing that doesn’t look like a table cloths but to go as far to demand to be included in a clothing line when Rebel already has a plus sized line that, like you said, excluded non-plus sized individuals is a tad bit bonkers.

People getting upset about Rebels clothing line is like going into a salad shop and being mad that they don't have burgers because you want one
@sugasweet435 Жыл бұрын
And the salad shop has a sister chain that does serve burgers, but that’s not good enough for you because you want burgers from THIS shop that doesn’t have them
