Thanks for this lesson, saw a local band rock this song the other night and came home wanting to learn it. Trying to train myself slowly and to also hold the pick while finger picking. Not easy!

This does make 2 parts of my brain work at the same time...lol. I'm finding that keeping the first finger barred involves less overall finger movement...and that's a good thing. Good lesson...never thought of doing this song ..thanks. --Van

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and this intro gave me problems. I can finger pick, EVH type tapping,most all the bar tricks but doing this right is difficult.I learned it on my own by ear back in the 80s but I was cheating and not using my right hand on the base line but just hitting the notes hard with my left and with alot of gain got it done.
