I like to think of this lick in 8/8. For me at least, it's easier to visualize the bass line landing on the subdivison on 1, 4, 7 and 8 while the upper voices just play straight 8th notes.

Hey Ben great video! I got a quick question, I have a G&L Strat and I'm considering replacing the bridge pickup with a seymour duncan hot rail. Would the seymour duncan hot rail be worth getting to get that humbucker sound?

Not in that market but it's how hot u want compared to the single coils. Just fatter or kick into distortion? I like slamming the pickup selector down to hot bridge on single channel amps.
