Rebellious Behavior in Children

While some children are labeled as rebellious, folks rarely consider the foundation from which those children came. Scripture advises that we must train up a child in the way in which that child should go, and when that child gets older, they will not depart from it, Proverbs 22:6. This is why my son is so respectful and loving I’m a single mom. I’m trying to ween him off games and KZbin because it has now become an idol to him so I try to do more things with him and let him play his toys and continue to pray over that.

I was praying about my children acting rebellious and the Lord reminded me of all the times I rebelled when he asked me to do something. So when you're complaining about your children rebelling and not doing the things that God has asked you to do, you now become a hypocrite in the eyes of God. Remember being slow to obey is also considered rebellion.

7/4/2024, Thank you God for this message especially that I am able to return to it one year later. I have been tested 7/1-3/2024, by my now 6 year old rebellious spirit while she's in school. As a 1st time mother I said I would start disciplining them at 6 years old but I wasn't obey and God has convicted me for it and her action are the results of it. So, as of 7/3/24 I repented and asked God for forgiveness, have been implementing and correcting the way of parenting from this message and transformation has been shown instantly, Thank you Holy Ghost for telling to come back and take notes of the prophetic message. This message was powerful one year ago and having to come back to it has been a breathe of fresh air. My husband has tried to tell me what was right for the children because he has older children and its now that she has shamed me(PROVERBS 29:15) I am taking my control back, listening and not letting go because of the love I have for my children. I have three teenagers and the oldest one has rebelled tremendously. As soon as she turned 18 she flexed real hard and is Not here with me and her sisters anymore. She’s in the hood that I worked hard to leave. She decided she doesn’t need or want me anymore . I’ve tried twice real hard to drag her back home to no avail. I just pray for her every night and that God protects her life while she’s out there. I didn’t even raise her like this. She has completely turned her back on me as if I’m a deadbeat. I have finally stopped crying about it and just pray. I’ve taken accountability for being emotionally unavailable when my marriage was underneath the rocks. I’ve apologized and apologized. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Amen! Ive always said this. Everything Pastor Kevin is saying Ive said. The word of God is clear. Anything out of that will be problems. Dont blame the child. A childs personally is shaped based on his environment. Its more of what you do than what you say. I pray parents hear this and take heed.

This is so, so good!🙌🏾 I am a faithful WOG( I was not raised in a church) and mother of 5 year old twins. I had them at 40 (making me a generational curse breaker) and yes I'm an old school parent although my mom wasn't not a disciplinary. I didn't start to fully discipline them until now. Kevin, you absolutely right these babies/ children are super cognizant of what is happening around them.The one I discipline most has the spirit of my deceased sister( she passed away at 28 years old) but I continue to pray over them and teach them the way of the scripture. Jesus this is a much needed teaching in the Times we living in. I have a 13 year old and soon 16 year old and 4 year old. A blessing and responsibility From beginning of 2023 my Bible opened to the story of Eli many times. How the father never was consistent indiscipline the sons. Teaching is constantly with our kids. Not a part time thing. Train up..I give a whipping. With my wooden spoon..Foolishness is bound up in a child. Proverbs 22:15. Parenting like marriage is not for lazy. I will add we need to talk to our kids a out death. I started in 2022 when Covid started.Jonny need a whipping. A no and spanking on there hands is sufficient in a toddler. I will add we are also living in the last days. 2 Timothy. Disobedience to parents. Unthankful.. Everything starts at the home.

Train the children the way the need to go. Children learn by observing what their parents do and how they talk. When a child is rebellious, you should discipline (punish them) to correct them and bring them into their right path. You should teach God's word and ways to your children Reward your children when they do good( verbal approval as well as awards) God's blessings abound in honoring and respecting parents Be watchful of the environment/entourage in which your child grows Don't drop the ball on your child. If there are still children, enforce discipline and authority on them but if they are adults, pray and fast for them Live and walk in God's ways Do not be dismayed by what you see. Let your faith and actions speak louder Communicate with your partner. Do corporate discipline with your children Know your children's friends, their parents Be mindful of what they watch, listen Speak life to your children

You can have twins or siblngs raised in two different households and they grow up both acting the same. How do you explain that? Some rebellious spirits come from generational curses. Not necessarily how they were raised. And some rebellions one from the child innocence being taken at a young age. It can’t just be the parents fault.

I went on a fast and prayed at midnight until he started doing better now he been doing EXTREMELY well for the last three months PRAISE THE LORD!!! I also went back and repented to God and ask my mom and grandma to forgive me for how I acted out when I was his age. God showed me mercy and the evil pattern was broken
