if the ont has an on/off push button, why unplug the power cord to reset the ont ?

What if you have a dangerous ONT ??? Optical Network Terminal - Huawei Brand !!! That's like inviting your Chinese Big Brother into your home, right? Can I secure my network against this, or do I need to buy a different ONT? I don't have a lot of money...

@@altafiber I live in Europe! 😅 The ISP said they only deliver this piece of big brother machinery... But I don't know enough about networks to be able to assess the dangers and how to eliminate them.
