I also had a 68 Caprice Estate Wagon. 327 inch. 275 horsepower, 12-bolt. Hideaway headlights full power everything including top fender mounted turn signal, high beam, headlight indicators. A BEAST.....

I had a 1968 Impala with the 327, 4 BBL, 400 Turbo trans, disc brakes, 15” wheels four-door. Was a great sleeper.

The reason the accessorie.holes aren't drilled is because it's a 68, the alternator is on the left side, and used a different bracket than a 69

You got semi high end parts but you didn't spend the extra money to bore the block???

Did that motor have the large journal steel crank in it (4672/1130 forgings)? I know the 68' 327 trucks came with large steel, not sure about the impala's.

Was a good video but...... could have shown better details like actually showing how to line the rear main and also putting the freeze plug in under the rear main. But thanks for showing.

Hey Bear , nice build . What product did you use on the back side of the rear main seal halves to cure overnight to prevent them from rotating ? Cheers .
