You are running a business, if you find gold, you do not let the world know where it is. You run your business to maintain the best return. Anything else would be madness, it would also sacrifice the chance of us seeing great material, looseloose all round, not such a good idea at all. As for the build, it is just a rather large, expensive, complex Meccano set. Still, it is going together just the way it should, it must be nice to have something work your way.

It just shows how the modern car design’s crash systems work to protect not only the passengers, but that huge lump of technology called the engine and drivetrain, which is installed in the factory as one lump including all front suspension, steering and associated sub-frames! You sound like a press reporter "having to protect your sources". Seriously though, you're absolutely right. As regards parts, if the vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty, you need to get OEM parts. If you put LR prices against other premium manufacturer prices, they will be comparable, as I'm sure you'll find when you get onto the GLA. Thanks for the video, and looking forward to the next one, whatever the subject.
@gosportjamie

If your source for the vehicles can keep coming up with ones like that then that's definitely one to keep under your hat... I don't think anyone is under any misapprehension that a Range Rover Evoque is anything but a very complex vehicle, but that was a lovely simple nuts and bolts repair so huge respect to JLR for keeping the build and rebuild nice and simple. That bottom hose is a good sign of what's wrong with the car manufacturers now, they could have made that a simple multi-piece assembly so individual broken or failed parts can be changed. Doing it the way they do, they're pretty much guaranteeing that more vehicles are going to get written off so they'll be building and selling new vehicles to replace the written off ones. It makes financial sense for the manufacturers, but it's a royal pain in the butt for owners, especially when the vehicles get older as something like that could easily write off an otherwise good £1,000 example. Just such a waste of resources... As ever, lovely work guys, and a very rapid turn around on a high value car...
