I replaced my Mk2 with a Mk3 focus, and whilst I have to admit the Mk3 handles slightly better with the 4wd and it is a more practical daily, but I still miss my Mk2 every day 😔 You just can’t beat the chorus of 5 on song.

So glad it's running and up for sale.is it a Cat car or not on the V5. Cat cars are just 20k with 96k+ 66k are going 24k to 27k. Yet the mk3 RS are still holding good money and the mk1s are going up. They are both so different you can't do anything with that fuel gauge Great content and be safe and enjoy the mk2

Thanks dude! I love my mk3 but the difference is pretty substantial, lot less safety gadgets and tech in the mk2 so feels like you are total control of your destiny without the driving aids in a mk3. Probably explains why so many mk2s ended up hugging trees 😂😂👍🏻

Those standard Ford wheel nuts with the pressed on chrome cover plate are crap after they have been on and off a number of times! Happened to me and if I remember correctly the nut it leaves is a really odd size and awkward to get off. Bought a second set from Ford and it happened again after a couple years! Bought a cheap solid set (no chrome pressed plate) from eBay and genuine Volvo black plastic covers been spot-on ever since.

It's a well documented fact now, that the Mk2 is a better car than the Mk3. My Ford mad mate part exd' his Mk2 for a brand new Mk3. One month later sold the Mk3 and bought another Mk2!!

Can highly recommend buying a 19.5mm socket for those useless wheel caps. Got mine from my Snap On dealer but sure you can get one elsewhere.... also a breaker bar over a 1/2in rachet. Great video as always!!! 😁😁😁

Also only use those ball joint splitters if you're replacing them as if you're not and knacker the boot it's now an MOT Failure. I tend to bash the hub where the joint is that way the boot is saved.

Depends what you are looking for in terms of damage, skill level required etc. For example, I now know I won’t buy another cat s car as I don’t have the tools or skill set to fix it properly, but I learnt that the hard way 😂. Gumtree or eBay have some good “project cars” or auction site like Copart have cars that need repaired? Hope that helps 👍🏻

Na it didn’t snap, it was just the daft cap thing that Ford put on the outside of their wheel nuts. It’s apparently a 19.5mm nut which isn’t even a size lol

I recon it’s got about 350bhp or there abouts, would need to dyno it to be sure though. It’s certainly as quick as my mk3 which has around 400bhp but the mk2 is far lighter so figure the power is less 👍🏻

Na it’s just surface rust as it got wet and then sat outside for a couple days between the video segments 👍🏻, discs have got quite a few miles left before they’d need replaced 😃
