bro do a new compression test, you can't always trust the manufacturer's diagnosis
@aronnathaniel7087 Жыл бұрын
no need to check the compression again, in previous episode you can hear the engine sounded like 2 cylinders😂 so it's basically broken valvetrain

Before you take the head out, check valve clearance and timing! My guess would be that timing has slipped. Maybe cam chain tensioner failing or something happening when it was down. Also, go in with a borescope first and look at valves. Good luck! And great job doing theese videos 🤘
@quadmeister Жыл бұрын
Haha timing slipped? One teeth slipping and whole engine will brake..

Perfect tip! Check the valves clearance and timing as Emil said. You should take a look at the in-take colletors maybe some broken parts have fallen into. shoutout from Brazil! Let's figure it out together.....

@CJMediaOfficial Жыл бұрын
Yes I will do that, if I can figure out how! Thanks Karim!
@85cactus Жыл бұрын
My guess would be that the engine has sucked in some small bits from the damaged airbox and they've stuck on the intake valves. Hopefully there's no damage to pistons/ rods and the valves them self. If in correct (it was lucky guess) than you'll only need to clean everything up, lap the valves and adjust clearances after that.... 🤔
@DRTIK0L Жыл бұрын
Better drama then on Netflix. 😊 but still don't understand, how can you be so positive with smile. Thank you for your work

I just realised that when i was watching part 1 of this build I didn't own a s1000rr and now I am watching this video with my dream bike next to me. Most important thing I learnt from you is not crashing that bike haha.
@hendrikdegraeve7554 Жыл бұрын
If you have 2 intake valves that are stuck open completely, that could mean a couple of things. First of all you would hear it when its running. Since it won't fire on those 2 (no compression = no bang). Did you check the exhaust pipes headers heat when it was turning? I'd be surprised if its down to 100% leaky intake valves. I suspect its a sensor getting a faulty reading somewhere and putting it in limp mode. Thinking of this, it could be the sensor that reads the turning crankshaft (that then decides electronically when to fire). If that sensor is giving wrong values on the 2 and 4 intake it will probably go into limp mode. But first of all, do your own compression test and see if you also have these 2 "blow-by" valves. Still sounds weird though, this should give them an fault code when hooked up to the computer. Also, when a carbon rim is damaged, its almost always something for the bin. Carbon doesn't flex like aluminium. It tears. And when it tears, it can be in hairline fractures, so you wouldn't want to ride with something like that. Good, but expensive lesson for future projects! You always learn!
@CJMediaOfficial Жыл бұрын
Hendrick, thank you for the info. The dealer claimed to check the headers and stated 2 were not as hot as the others when running so they confirmed 2 cylinders were not running. That sensor issue may be a great possibility with the way this bike rolled. Lots to look into thanks

Intersting... I think the dealer said they tested that... I should try that, what's the fix for it?
@motoboq9606 Жыл бұрын
@@CJMediaOfficial pump rebuild or new pump. To test it remove the fuel line from the tank and prime/turn key if it comes out slowly its bad if you put your finger on it and doesn't pressure its also bad, this is ghetto way obviously theres a proper way. Kawasaki suffer from that same issue some won't rev past 7 some past 10 when the big fuel need is needed and it feels like hitting a rev limiter. But as long as pump doesn't short or no pressure sensor no code will pop. Anyway i could be wrong but if timing spark and all that are good my hands point at that.
