Were u able to get passed the 9k RPM rev limiter i have done the same as u and even took it to bmw first service, no cel lights or codes but i can't seem to pass the 9k rev limit top speed in 6th is 124mph and every gear tops out at 9k rpm ☹️ does the gs911 help remove the rev limiter or did u take it back to BMW
@stanmil549510 ай бұрын
Speaking of reduced strength what about the wreck rear wheel? Do you understand how carbon fibre fails when its comprimised? Now you'll call me a hater, but listen to experience the carbon guy said its unfixable which means its broken, putting 200bhp through that wheel is stupid carbon fails instantly no warnings, why do you think they dont use carbon fibre in race wheels both car and bike. Instead of just pumping videos out take your time because quite frankly thats a death trap. The inspection in your state is a joke thats not an inspection to say its safe its just a paperwork excersize. And can you do a video on the reason why a fuel pump solves a compression issue. Take your time and listen to people in the know throwing money at bling and new fairings is not rebuilding a bike. Look at that ducati that blatantly had a twisted or bent frame (you could tell by the death wobble at 90) Haters got to hate but doesnt god preach thou shalt not kill. Are you going to be transparent or delete this comment

It's refreshing to see a young man doing something worthwhile instead of just engrossed by their cell phone. What he does is quite inspiring. We need more youngsters like this coming to motorcycling.
@CJMediaOfficial Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words Darren. I would say I'm far from perfect when it comes to getting engrossed in my cell phone sometimes. Although I'm apart of KZbin and Social media, I've found that I desire a Social media presence less and less. I wish I could post and share my bikes and builds without having to be "active" I'd save so much time. Anyway, I digress. Social media is fun, just sucks me in everytime... cheers

The bike looks fantastic. It amazes me how close the radiator and especially oil cooler are to the exhaust pipes with no shielding. There simply is no room for shielding the way it is designed. This makes it vitally important, especially with the aftermarket exhaust, to make the ecu runs the bike rich, to keep those exhaust pipes cool. Running the aftermarket pipe, without changing the ecu setting to richen up the exhaust, could run the bike lean, heat up the exhaust, heat up the exhaust pipes and heat stress fail the oil cooler. It could also be the source of your weak power delivery as well. In 20-degree weather this is all less important but on a summer day, it could be a real problem. Much respect to you on this rebuild, the bike looks beautiful and sounds incredible. Job well done, young man.

Thank you thank you Phil! Very very true on the cooling issues. I'll talk w the tuner and see what can be done to make sure she runs right in warm weather! Cheers

I have just binge watched this rebuild. I found your young 100% positive enthusiasm to be not only a very refreshing change but also to be incredibly infectious. Your passion for bringing bikes back to life would seem to be only matched by your endless reserve of patience. I'm 63yrs old and have mostly lived alone since 2012. Recently it was exactly one year ago since, at the grand old age of fourteen, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to lay my best friend Rocco to rest, a 60kg Rottie, the most awesome, trusted loyal friend I have ever known.... At the moment I seem to have become the default owner of an English Bull Mastiff that was originally to be only a month or two of babysitting. She's great company but I miss my boy Rocco terribly and always will. However, to get back to the subject.. I have been in love with bikes all my life. I know how annoying and frustrating fault finding can be. I'm very impressed by your never give up attitude.. Well done young man! Well done indeed. After thinking I was finally on the home stretch of my own project. I had to put it on hold for almost 2mths while I waited for parts to arrive all the way from the UK to Australia. The parts arrived 4 days ago and even though I could easily have prioritised getting back into my garage and getting stuck back into finishing something I started almost 3mths ago. I have been lacking in motivation to return to (tiny by comparison to yours) a project of my own. I recently started giving my 2008 Triumph some long overdue TLC. After having spent the past three and a half years travelling along my journey of three major spine surgeries and a total of five and a half months spent in Hospital. After many many hours of intense rehab I was finally allowed to go home and start the next 18mths of lots of blood sweat and tears been shed twice a week in a Med-Ex spinal recovery Gym and aquarobics every Saturday. Yes, the Healthcare system in Australia is awesome! This very same Gym was used frequently by Barry Sheene during his retirement in South East Queensland. If you have never heard of Barry Sheene, Google his name and enjoy the ride. Anyway, after spending last night watching hours of your KZbin channel I'm all fired up with refreshed motivation to get my 2008 Rocket III back on the road.... maybe even by next weekend. Then after some reorganisation in my garage, get stuck into the restoration of a 1982 Kawasaki Z1100A. After getting this far I am determined to enjoy a few more years of motorcycle powered therapy, although at a much slower pace than when I was your age.😉 By the way. In the unlikely event of you not having already done so. It might be well worth your while heavily researching the effects of crash damage upon carbon fibre wheels. Because I think I remember reading a few scary stories of carbon fibre wheels that had been subject to the stress of a high speed impact. Even though they showed little or no signs of visual damage. They were actually far from been safe for use. My memory could be misleading me (again) but I thought I should mention the alarm bells that suddenly started ringing in my mind every time you mentioned a damaged rim. Take care and thx again for your infectious inspiration to make the most out of every single day.

@_el.guapo_Ай бұрын
I was wondering the same. He mentioned BMW did a compression test and there was a blow-up. Maybe he fixed it by dismantling the header and putting it back together. Maybe there was an air leak there. He also took off the O2 sensors and put them back. I don't know if a loose O2 sensor can cause this kind of issue but a faulty O2 sensor would give you rpm bounce ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Do you ever think about the possible damage that cant be seen like the frame being slightly bent or the forks or swimgarm, axles. Not being a certified bmw motorcycle mechanics, giving the keys to someone and letting them go 196 mph would be a tottal risk. If you would get it inspected after you are done by bmw, that would relieve you of all liabilities and would be the godly thing to do. God is using me to give you this message.
