Rebuilding A Wrecked 2023 BMW M3 Part 1

We picked up our first BMW and its definitely a sick one! We are super pumped to get this on the road and even add some more power. This copart rebuild is going to be an epic one for sure! Stay tuned!

I used to go in all the time for parts when I had my E46 M3 (I sold it in 2016). I drive a 17 F80 competition and they are soo much more reliable I’m only doing fluids and preventative maintenance. I did have to go after a gasket when I did my charge cooler 2 years ago but other than that no need to visit haha

I am with you guys. I was not a BMW fan until the new G8X series remodels. I had owned only 1 BMW out of my 78 cars since 1994. I now have a 24 BMW M4 Competition XDrive in my garage parked next to my 992 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The BMW M4/M3 G8X cars are worthy of the price tag.

Carbon fiber trunk, hood, and side skirts, new wheels. Love the taillights, and aftermarket bumper idea. But an air suspension setup on this would be SICK!!!

The G80 M3s come with the S58 which puts down 9.7s reliably with a simple tune and e85 no turbo replacement needed. If you go single turbo it will definitely be pushing over 800 whp with a proper tune. Only issue is the tune requires a femto unlock so I would send out the ECU to them now while your still rebuilding it so you have no downtime

@@goonzquadyou honestly weren’t wrong when you said they kind of sound funny,because although their performance is very very good they kind of do,but believe me THE fix for this is going single turbo, the sound of the engine completely changes and it is unrecognisable!

The BMW M3 wide body from 1988 (1 out of 4 old fast cars I own) that car is a beast. To clarify I'm from the Netherlands, I have driven that car at full speed (many times) on the German Autobahn and I will never sell it. But this car has to much electronics and therefore I will never buy one. I'm a mechanic not an electrician. But I still like the model of this one. Keep up the content, like to watch you guys work on cool cars.

Hi Guys USE ONLY: (Glasurit 923-57 MS Clear matt Flexible), Matt Clear in that M3 it is the OEM matt clear for the frost metallic paints what BMW use. The clear is very easy to spray and blend to get OEM finish. I sprayed frosted red M4 last month what was vandalized. Keep up the good work, Cheers from Finland! Also your M3 has BMW Individual Interior with carbon that ain´t cheap option!

Check out Rapture Air. For the driveway, use brick pavers. You can repair without jackhamering concrete, plus it looks great. Doesn't cost that much more than concrete. Check out the Poolvernugan pool cleaner. Runs when the pool pump runs and uses the pools filter system. Better than the other cleaners I used. Salt system and multi speed pump was the best upgrade I did. Good luck!

I vote for either the matte bronze wheels or an anthracite/gun metal color. Especially with that blue interior. I’d stick with blue yellow or black if you decide to change the color of the calipers. Carbon deck/ hood/ side skirts/ front lip & rear diffuser/ side mirrors would look good. Yellow led fog lights would also go well with the grey black carbon look

The M3 competition was a car I wanted to own very badly as a 4 door car as I only had a 2 door and had a baby on the way. Couldn’t find one cheap enough from copart for me to afford and ended up going a completely different route with a ford edge 😅. Does the job and baby is here at almost 6 weeks old now. Regardless, if aggressiveness is what you want then ADRO might have a wide body kit program (won’t be cheap) that will catch everyone’s eyes, will be the best M3 build on YT imo if that does happen but again expensive. If that isn’t the route then I would personally go CF front hood, keep the same trunk and rear spoiler, reuse the same OEM wheels, and add some more aggressive side skirts as well as a front lip. On the performance side, these BMWs make tons of power for cheap. They are very reliable, quick, and attractive looking cars. BMW knocked it out of the park with how good the M3s, M4s, M5s and M8s have been recently both in performance and aesthetics. You can easily get more than 700whp on this car and it’ll still drive like a daily car. Side note on future builds I would like to see that might be interesting: Nissan Z/Infiniti Q60/Bentley (any)/Cadillac Escalade/McLaren (any)/previous gen Toyota Supra/Acura NSX (new or old)/Ford GT
