One suggestion for fitting panels in the future. Lay the new part overtop of the old one, line them up and cut through both panels at once. It will fit perfectly.
@SwampBoysGarage2 жыл бұрын
I tried that before but it leaves a gap the size of the cutting wheel and harder to weld up. I probably need a thinner blade or get better at welding.

Hi good to see you again just for a future ref that seam sealer looks like a double-sided adhesive tape that you can buy to prefix the sill part, you can also buy a drill attachment that looks like a rubber wheel for removing the old seam seal sorry don't know what its called but its worth having one much easier to remove.
@SwampBoysGarage2 жыл бұрын
Ok. Thanks. I actually have that eraser wheel but never thought to try it to n that. I always used it for emblem glue. I’ll definitely try that out.

I have a 2010 camry that those alloy rims would look nice on, so what if I sent you the stock steel rims and you let me buy them alloys? Great video good work guys I'm about to do a engine swap on my camry and your videos have given me the confidence to do it 👍
@SwampBoysGarage2 жыл бұрын
One of the rims is messed up with bad cuts from the wreck. It would probably cost too much to swap thru shipping to each other.

Looking good! I've been using the 3M 08365 seam sealer on my projects.. There's a few products to choose from, but so far this has worked well for me and didn't need a special applicator gun. I picked it up off the amazons.
@SwampBoysGarage2 жыл бұрын
I’ll add that to the cart now
@DachsAutos2 жыл бұрын
@@SwampBoysGarage Track down some of the acid or flux brushes you'd use for plumbing too, you can use those to spread out the sealer for a more factory look, unless you want to go all out and get the fan attachment like your original parts were sealed with. You can lay two strips of blue tape to help stay in a line as well if you want to get particular about it.
