Honestly the time it took to build the motor isn't anything special. They had all the parts ready, so for it to take a week they worked business as usual i'd say. Granted that's from my own experience of replacing the 5.7l hemi in a Durango, that took a week as well and I don't work in any garage plus I only had time to work on it after I got home from work.

I met tavarish at sema to. I went up to say hi and he just kept saying hi hi hi hi hi. Like he was teasing me. Then he grabbed my little cousins sucker and put it in his mouth and bowed at us and walked away. Then security followed and security kept asking him to return the sucker and he said hi I’m tavarish hi im tavarish for a good 5 minutes. Then slowly backed away. It was all very strange. He was mumbling something about underground tunnels as he slowly crept away to. I suspect tavarish got into some lsd or other hallucinogenic. Despite my strange occurrence I am truly happy you had a good one. Maybe I’m just gonna stick to Doug demure from here on out.

Changing the oil much more than the "recommendations" is key to the longevity of any engine! I have a 205k mile beater but it still runs strong because, I do my oil changes between 2,500 & 2,800 miles & I change my transmission filter & fluid every 30k miles!

I see KZbinrs do a job in five minutes and say "It's not a very difficult repair" and then it takes me four hours to do it and I have grease up to my armpits! God bless you for being so honest! At least it didn't make a picture window in the block. LOL That wing automatically standing up at high speed cracks me up! Jay Leno is my Motorhead Hero. He has a stable of the finest motorcars that is second to none, yet he is so humble about it.

Like with most things, it's usually not too hard IF you know what you are doing AND have the right tools / funds available. For others, it might as well be magic. I know how to drive a car, but don't ask me to repair and/or change anything on it. I don't know how and I am not interested in knowing how to either. On my bicycles however, I can and I will. Then again, I love this channel, and Mat's (through which I found this one). And it is not the cars that keep me watching, it's the enthusiasm for doing this stuff these people display. Keep it up. Re-use, repair etc. 👍

As a result I have (with the help of a professional friend!) two old Piper Comanche aircraft that I have been restoring myself. Man it’s amazing how the core concepts and ethics of this great adventure,spill over to every pursuit of ‘beyond good’. In the kitchen at work last night I was finishing up on mis en place when train wrecks were starting to happen. We had received some recipes from ‘corporate’ and they were basically, fundamentally wrong. We kept our cooler heads intact and got it all solved before service began. The benefits of experience plus a strong knowledge base and solid work ethic, kicked it in the ass. This was an amazing car story with an incredible cast of characters!

OMG! The second i saw the Tenmile Range i knew that was Copper Mountain Ski Resort on I70 in between frisco and vail. Spent 9yrs as a chef at that resort living in Frisco!!!! Home Sweet Home!!!! Had to sit there for a good 10min and stare! :) Glenwood Canyon comes next!!! :)

So this is a 675 LT with a 720 engine? I'm sure that it's the only "Hot Roded" McLaren in the country. So glad to see the inside details of the engine. I've seen a video on engines that showed these H type connecting rods. But I've never seen a video of anyone who's used them before. This is Very cool to see. Please keep up the good work. What a fantastic video series on this awesome car. I love watching master mechanics show their mad skills. Especially when the engineers fail and then up comes those ”H beam” con-rods it’s like watching a symphony with how organized and well thought out the replacement parts are made. It’s that “build a better mousetrap” that always gets you thinking of creative solutions like the transmission, that was awesome . Those dyno runs had me thinking though 🤔 It’s a euro car meets American ingenuity. I was in awe when you pulled into “Jay Leno’s garage” that had to be a “check off the bucket list” there. I can’t wait to see more when Jay posts his video. It’s like you assembled a dream team to pull all that off.
