I love it when Cory just throws all the pieces in the basket. All us amateurs would be laying it all out in order just hoping we could get it back together properly.😀👍👍🇬🇧

Those pumps are bound to be the bread and butter of pump shops for years. They must have made a bagillion of those things over the years.

I'd love to know how many they have manufactured. We do still see a bunch of them.

The over head shots with the camera was nicer to me Cory your overall explanations of the pump helped me understand the perp-us of the individual parts and how they work together as unit gives me a memory of process of the way you do rebuilds and Cory you do honest work 👍😎🇺🇸 NY

Recently disassembled and rebuilt a DBGFCC ,flex ring was totally gone just sawdust in top housing machine ran well though . Cleaned spotless every piece .New weight cage ,M.V, pump liner,blades. Reinstall now now fuel pressure from injector ports. Fuel is clean ,new filters return line clean,fuel running through pump ,and return line . Took fuel transfer valve apart and cleaned screen than put back together have tried tightening and loosening adjuster and still no fuel from injector ports. I pushed the piston up through new metal sleeve with a pick then thread adjuster down until bottom tip of piston is near top of hole between half and top of hole in brass sleeve. Still no pressure , pulled pump, tore apart again cam ring arrow shows counter clockwise , so it’s not that . I marked everything and took pics before disassembled and reassembled. Air in injection port lined up with rotor and pistons come out not much but they move when I turn cam ring to squeeze them in ,it doesn’t squeeze them in super tight there is wear on the cam . I’m at a loss don’t know what is stopping it from making fuel pressure , any help appreciated. And will be contacted you for pricing on rebuilding and testing it .thanks

The overhead camera angle is much better to watch. It's a lot easier to see what and how he's assembling the pump. Would be better watching Cory take it apart as well. As a Coast Guard Aviation Machinist Mate Veteran I've absolutely no doubt that Cory would be a top notch aircraft mechanic. If he specialized in something like GE T58 turboshaft jet engine fuel selectors (it's version of a carburetor) any one who had him rebuild their would have no problem relying on it to function properly. It's one og the most critical items on any turboshaft jet engines.

The rust might mostly be from the tank or lines, not pump corrosion.

Thoughts on old or Gray market Japanese to older Russian diesels and parts availability? or stay clear of...cause with the world using old equipment still there would be parts still.. knew a place that said Lister engines are soo hard to get a part for .
@AreaDieselService7 ай бұрын
We can still generally service the parts for these machines. We can't always get complete assemblies, but we will sure try.

Just so you know I originally found out about Area Diesel from a tour video on either Mike Dirt Perfect's KZbin channel I believe. I'm fairly sure you did a video repairing a unit for Matt Diesel Creek as well recently.
