I'll make sure they aren't robbed of a future like I was. I don't recall even hearing any proper information about evolution until my final year of school which I was also kicked out of. I was expelled for smelling like beer. I did not drink at the time and I was poor so I had very few clothes. I put on my sister's boyfriends jeans to wear to school because the few I had were dirty. He was at the bar drinking and had spilled beer on them. I was asked to not return to school after that day and the school would not push to have me sent off to a boys home. I was 15 years old. I was 30 when my troubles began. I would get what felt like muscle cramps under my shoulder blades (it was actually nerve pain caused by damaged cervical discs). Let a decade go by using megadose aspirin and then 100 proof vodka for pain control, and then actually go see a neurologist, something I should have done in the first place. The first neurologist I went to was a Viet Nam veteran (neurosurgeon on a hospital ship) who had retired from surgery but still did consulting. This was 1995 and he correctly diagnosed my problems and recommended that I put off the surgery that I would eventually need as long as possible. His reasoning came from decades of real intense work and he asserted that progress was being made so fast in treating spinal problems that every year you could tolerate the pain meant one more year of advancements in treatments. I finally had neck surgery in 2002. That surgery helped a lot and some of the issues that those discs were causing have not come back. In 2010 my lower back discs gave out and since then things have just slowly been getting worse.

There are times I try and give benefit of the doubt when accusations of lies are considered. But when the correct definition of vestigial is presented twice, and then still misrepresented, and even still mentioning that biologists use the word differently than creationists want, I can't just pass that off as incompetence, or ignorance. It was quite the tactical mistake to forget to quote mine the definition, and actually post the real complete text.

That's how AIG rides, it's not like their followers do anything more than just agree to everything no matter how obviously wrong! They could show A picture of an elephant and say it's a puffer fish, and their followers will take their word for it, no questions asked.

@@jrskp3677 Well, you do need to roll a percentile below your cleric level to successfully use Divine Intervention. I guess the writers of Job were level 20 clerics of Yahweh. As is written in the book of Gygax: ‘Beginning at 10th level, you can call on your deity to intervene on your behalf when your need is great. Imploring your deity’s aid requires you to use your action. Describe the assistance you seek, and roll percentile dice. If you roll a number equal to or lower than your cleric level, your deity intervenes. The DM chooses the nature of the intervention; the effect of any cleric spell or cleric domain spell would be appropriate. If your deity intervenes, you can’t use this feature again for 7 days. Otherwise, you can use it again after you finish a long rest. At 20th level, your call for intervention succeeds automatically, no roll required.’

The cup holder in the car breaks, but there’s a hole in the frame under it that’s the right size for a cup. That hole isn’t a cup holder because that isn’t its primary function. Vestigial structures still have uses because they can be used, but those new uses are stapled on, like a cup hanging out the bottom of a car.
