Big time heads up play. And a gun for an arm. The Gator third base coach should have been coaching his runner to run to the left of the line too. But he didn’t which allowed a clean unobstructed throw to the plate. Nice play Hogs.!!

I'm not very familiar with baseball - can someone explain why he still had to run after retagging? I thought if the fly ball is caught out then there's no need to advance. Is he out if he stays at 3rd?

You are correct. The runner did not have to advance. The runner made the attempt to try and score the tying run of the game.
