I read Percy Jackson to my cousin a couple years back and had very specific actors in mind for the base of the voices I used. The big ones were: Poseidon- Russell Crow, because of his roles in Robin Hood and Gladiator. Aphrodite- Michelle Pfiefer, mostly because she’s Michelle Pfeifer. Ares- Michael Rooker, because of his performances in Marvel and The Walking Dead.

Loved this video, all those castings (especially Hush and Man-Bat) were on-point. I originally had Tim Robbins in mind for Ventriloquist after seeing his withdrawn yet understated performance in Mystic River. Can't wait for the next Batman video and the Percy Jackson castings, as some have mentioned I would love to see you cast characters from TMNT and Transformers as well as non-Marvel and DC franchises like Hellboy and Spawn among others.

I actually like that for the same reason I'd like Paul Giamatti they both do sniveling suck-up just as well as they do arrogant asshole. Lithgow has a hundred roles where he plays a Ventriloquist type and you need to look no further than Ricochet, Cliffhanger and Dexter for the Scarface flavor. The height difference is that big a diff between Jenkins and Lithgow 6'1 and 6'3 but personally I'd like Giamatti.

Had to IMMEDIATELY pause the video and just say that JOHN CARROL LYNCH is one of THE MOST underrated actors going today. He's one of those guys like the more accomplished and amazing JOHN GOODMAN, who never sucks in ANYTHING, (not really comparing the two, cuz John Goodman is an incredible legend)... His one time role as EASTMAN in that one episode of THE WALKING DEAD, is so amazing and spot on, that to this day, that is the one episode of that show, that I've seen multiple times, and I mean like over 5 times when I say multiple. It's the one episode I would seek out and just watch if I'm bored, or want to get inspired to finally go on an audition and be an actor lol... He's so natural that it feels like you're a fly on the wall, or even a neighbor of his, just listening to him talk to someone; it doesn't feel like acting, doesn't feel like you're watching a TV show. It's just watching someone whose been thru a lot, talk about it. If no one has seen that episode/doesn't watch walking dead/hasn't seen that episode in a long time, go and watch it: Season 6, Episode 4, "Here's Not Here" ... its acting 101, in my opinion, and something you want to see, or that u strive for if ur an actor...... That episode has truly stuck with me (if u can't tell lol)

What I hope happens is that we get a Batman franchise that goes into movies about Night-wing, Red Hood and Red Robin, Batgirl and Bat-woman, and maybe even characters like Cassandra Cain, Spoiler, or other members of the Bat-family. I think it'd be the only way that we could see more of the really good batman villain's that aren't exactly the Rogues Gallery. Maybe even rope in Green Arrow with The Batman somehow for a movie.

I think Anarchy would be a great villain for a Batman movie (especially in one where they try to keep it "as similar to real life as possible". He kind of reminds you of Bane in Dark Knight Rises, but i think that he shouldn't be the main antagonist. In case you will ever do another series for Batman (maybe for the sequel of the Pattinson one) i'd be interested in seeing who you'd choose. Great video (as always).

I love Richard Jenkins, another super underrated actor, and good choice here. But for ventriloquist role, especially the way u were describing him, I immediately went RIGHT Michael Stuhlbarg... He literally has done both those roles. He's played a meager/meek/unassuming guy plenty of times (A Serious Man) but also has played scary, intimidating men, one just recently as Jimmy Baxter in YOUR HONOR (he KILLED IT in that role, and even just his presence on screen, no lines to deliver, he was borderline frightening)... but ironically enough, I feel he's played both sides of Ventriloquist literally at the same time in his BOARDWALK EMPIRE role of Arnold Rothstein. As Mr Rothstein, he was kinda quiet, intelligent, respectful, unassuming, even reasonable---but he was also a Gangster so ya know, he was a criminal, and a killer... I think Stuhlbarg is the pick here, but man, to get Richard Jenkins in a Batman movie, especially as a crook, sign me up... "Editor's Note (lol)"--- if they happened to ever take a plot from a Batman The Animated Series episode and put it into a movie as a small subplot (or heck, even expand the episode and make it its own movie), IRONICALLY ENOUGH AGAIN, both Richard Jenkins and Michael Stuhlbarg would absolutely NAIL the real life role of Charlie Collins in season 1, episode 7's THE JOKER'S FAVOR.... g'head, tell me I'm wrong!! (Well, except for the fact that Charlie is a rather plump man, but that's absolutely not a prerequisite or a big deal, who cares about being THAT friggin "accurate")

Really excited for Percy Jackson casting, and would offer these suggestions for the Big 3: Dean Jagger as Zeus, Chris O’Dowd as Poseidon, & James Fran as Hades. I honestly couldn’t begin to guess who would be the right actors for the younger cast, but these guys? Perfect for the gods. Dean Jagger is best known right now for being Smalljon Umber in GoT, but it’s in “Warrior” where he shines as Dylan Leary. I highly recommend it, he’s got the menace and authority needed for Zeus. Chris O’Dowd is a weirder choice, I know, but his background in comedic roles is what’s necessary for making Poseidon more approachable than his brothers. And he can be either intimidating or charming if he chooses, as the “Get Shorty” series proves. And James Frain? If “Grimm”, “Tutors”, “Gotham”, “True Blood” & “The Cape” proved anything, he could play Hades in his sleep! Hope these help, really looking forward to the PJO casting.

Good casting choices! However, I think your choice for Killer Croc was more based on the character physical apperance rather than his personality. Despite being portray as just a big dumb monster, there are stories in comics (the best exemple is Batman Earth One) that showcase Croc not as evil monster but a misunderstood freak, who has gentle heart underneath his hideous apperance. To play him, I think it should be someone like Dave Bautista or Vin Diesel, who can play this big tough guys, but also give a sympathetic human side to the characters.
