@@JadeyJ4d3y so the way I’ve rationalized it is MW Seasons 0-5 + SpecOps is all cannon and part of the same reboot universe. It’s not part of the OG modern warfare trilogy or Ghosts universe. In this universe there is no affiliation to Black Ops. Season 6 with the zombies outbreak is entirely fiction Black Ops CW Season 0-6 is a reboot universe where all the events of WaW and BO1 occur but it’s different because the events of Cold War happen. It’s not the *original* WaW-BO3 universe, it’s a splinter. This timeline is merged with an *alternate history* timeline of the MW 2019 universe where there is Black Ops affiliation. In essence it is not cannon. What I am trying to say is that MW2 (2022) will not be related to BOCW in any way.

I think both studios use two distinct styles but they both make the graphics look great. Like how in MW2019 it had a more dull graphics style, and cold war had a more colorful but dark graphic style. But both looked great and really aren't comparable because both have a different style but look absolutely great.

I know this game has been divisive among long-time fans, but as someone who's only played this one and WWII, I don't really care about that stuff. MW's lighting is good, but when it comes to rendering interiors it's awful, not to mention the awful color scheme in some levels that try to mix saturated colors with desaturated colors. Cold War wins in terms of color scheme, interiors, textures, and blood effects, while MW wins over outside lighting, shadows, and other effects.

i myself honestly didn't enjoy this, i liked it more than bo3. I don't hate on bo3, but it's not as good. To me this game felt like a filler, you know what will happen and it just ruined the point of the game itself. I did like the KGB and the russian simulation missions, and the Soviet ending, but everything else just felt so boring for me. It did have some cool elements, but to me the whole game felt like a total let down, except for zombies i love the new zombies and the fact you can do progress in there.

THAT IS NOT A CHINA LAKE IT IS A THUMPER... a china lake is a pump action system that holds 3 40mm shells that load kind of like a shotgun. the grenade launcher shown in game is nicknamed the thumper because of the thumping sound it makes when fired. the Thumper is a break action like a double barrel shotgun, and it holds one 40mm shell that then must be manually ejected after firing. in conclusion its not a china lake. Damn straight 👍 I mean, I liked the MP from BO 2 and came to appreciate what I could - but from that point I felt that they foolishly stepped away from what I thoroughly enjoyed : actual BLACK OPS 😮 actually being in these places during these specific years, the atmosphere, the constant scrutiny of information and who delivers it, all the experimental tech (I was amazed to discover that the CIA and friends had actually made use of in the field, a portable device capable of sending/receiving brief text messages....1970's-80's 😮)and most definitely a reunion with characters that, like them or not, are at least deeper than your average script, helping the audience see not only the grey area of morals and legality but how each character is equally grey, just as contrary and paradoxical as you can imagine when your occupation involves a buffet of 'not cool' choices to go with. I'm no author by any stretch, but I can usually tell how 'authentic' a military story is going to be by how often the dialogue has my face folding in on itself during a cringe reflex - not the case here, it's written with a fair amount of intrigue but it doesn't hammer you with the stick and carrot too hard and the exposition is the opposite of almost anything that Roland Emmerich forced his poor actors to say. I only just sat down tonight to return to this recent gem and happily have the crap knocked out of me on Veteran, all on a better tv than I first played it on.
