Don't freeze it in an ice cube tray, use a 1 gallon freezer bag, then when you are ready to use it, hit it with a wooden mallet and break it up. Works great and it doesn't take long to melt and mix. I do goat milk soaps, I do this all the time, works great.

My egg soap is one of my absolute favorites! I did a triple butter, goat milk, eggs and Rosemary Essential oil and use it in my hair. Husband and I love it - so does everyone that tries it. Do the egg soap! I've also done watermelon puree, fresh aloe gel with cucumber, carrot puree etc. Egg is my favorite. I'm wanting to revisit my concept for my very first soap, I based it on Golden Milk Tea (turmeric coconut milk latte - so tasty and great for inflammation). I just need some ginger fragrance and coconut milk without additives. Unfortunately my first soap was lye heavy and had to be rebatched - but I still love the concept. My second was a matcha hibiscus tea soap, that one overheated out of the mold, made great laundry detergent. I think I need to go back to my tea inspired soaps soon

Love this one. Never ever ever have I seen beer grains nor did I realize it was even a thing. Very cool news about your hubs and brother!!! I boil and freeze dark lager just because I master batch my lye 1:1 and i add frozen rice milk and beer when i make the soap. Yes I agree it's a waste of time otherwise and very unsatisfactory lye mixing.

@iKit306

I would be interested but I would also assume it takes extra lye calculations to add ACV to the soap since that's an acid, which would neutralize some of the lye. Without extra calculations (in the form of extra lye) then the superfar would probably end up too high or possibly, if too much ACV is added, you might not get soap at all?

We pick up spent grain/mash from several local breweries to feed the livestock on our farm, but I never considered using it in my soap! I’m curious, does the smell linger in the soap (some smells amazing, some not so much), and do you like the feel as an exfoliant? Thanks for your videos! I’ve been at this for many years, and I love learning from others on the same path:)

I haven’t noticed a lingering smell, but I try to match the scent of the bar to what goes into the beer anyway. The exfoliant was actually really great on this one! Thanks for watching. :)

Brother's nickname: Brother Suds -- Also, I would definitely mention that it does have gluten, but I think the gluten needs to be ingested for it to affect those with celiac disease. Many moons ago I used to work with a lady who had it, and that's what I remember, although I have not done research on it myself. So, yes, play it safe and definitely tell people, it has gluten. Who knows? We might all be wrong and gluten may cause a skin reaction.

I am not sure if I have a video on my IG , but I add the beer directly to the oils, no flat, no boiled. Just straight into my oils, of course if I do 100% beer soap( my shampoo bars) them I let it flat just over the counter and freeze it.
