I’m a geologist going for my masters this August but I learn R/python etc cos big oil unemployment is worse than big tech’s & I know tech will bounce back. I appreciate your video. Any advice will be appreciated. Subscribed :))

It's a good point about big oil being boom & bust! I also believe in today's world, tech is here to stay. Plus, who knows - maybe you'll work for some start up that needs someone with a geology background?! Best of luck with your transition!

I’m using linked in to find a new job at the moment and something about what she said towards the end sparked my interest. Some jobs on linked mention the recruiter but many don’t. How do you stop your our resume from landing in that dark hole? Or how can you get a recruiter to find a job?

Hi Bonnie - What I took away from this interview is that if the likelihood is only 5% of someone reading your resume without leveraging LinkedIn/recruiter, then you're better off taking the time to find those recruiters (make sure you're set to yellow/'open to offers' in LInkedIn). It's so easy to drop your resume (I did it) but many of those opportunities don't pan out and therefore from an effort stand point (to me at least) aren't worth it. Good luck with your job hunt!
