Hello can we use a microwave instead of an oven?

@@idoit1476 I never tried cooking it with a microwave. I don't think it's a good idea though as it has flour, eggs and vanilla that needs to be cooked for real.

In Viet Nam we dont have sour cream, so I use plain yogurt instead. The muffins were so delicious, super moist and smell so good. I surely will save this recipe and will bake those again for my family. Thank you for sharing.

Here are the measurements since people keep asking. 12 Chocolate muffins - 260 g plain flour (all-purpose flour) - 1 1/4 tsp baking soda / bi-carb - 1/2 tsp salt - 60 g Dutch process cocoa powder, sifted - 1 tbsp instant coffee granules / powder - 185 ml milk, full fat, HOT - 125 ml canola oil (or veg or other neutral flavoured oil) - 200 g brown sugar, packed - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 200 g sour cream or thick plain yogurt - 1 large egg (55-60g) - 300 g dark chocolate chips Next time, check the description. buttermilk or plain yoghurt. if buttermilk is hard to find where you are, add about a tablespoon vinegar to whole milk and let it sit for 10 minutes and you’ll have instant buttermilk.

Hi. Made this ones 2 days ago and my husband said they were pretty chocolaty, for my side I like them but I feel I have to have it with a glass of milk since they came out pretty rich in flavor. Probably I messed up with the measurements, even tho I was trying to be pretty careful. My husband liked how they looked but he could just eat once per day. So hopefully they will stay well longer.

I made these today because I already have all the ingredients in my pantry. I used 1/4 c sour cream and 1/2c Greek yogurt. I did not adjust the racks 1/3 away from top of the oven. I set it on the bottom and followed 410 degrees F for 5 minutes and 20 minutes out the oven. Also checking at the 15 minute mark.
