How is it compared to the new Jesse Dean contactless fader?

I can't believe how smooth this fader is. Easy plug n play and it works outstanding. Best mod ever. Great video Swift 👌

The scratches sound every so slightly different on a portable... Faster and harder if that makes sense? Is it from the weight of the deck being lighter than a traditional one, so your push and pull is slightly stronger?
@justinpace18126 жыл бұрын
I agree. Also because the PT01 is a belt drive turntable.

It's the weight of the record. Unfortunately, this is why some people love cutting w/ 7s.

Also cos of the scale of 33 7's? Shorter movement and less weight
@aTastyRabbit5 жыл бұрын
@Bruce Ewart basically the 7" got less weight, but at the end of it all, a 12" vinyl is more bigger and also contains more samples, and also you have a lot of time for the soud, specially if you got a phrase vinyl... because phrasing on a 7" its kinda hard (in my opinion/view point)... Sorry for bad grammar ;)

If I’m not mistaken, it looks like the fader doesn’t actually screw into the stock screw holes. It’s just held in place through friction. Is they why your fader looks slightly crooked? I think you can turn it counter-clockwise more to straighten it out or even angle it more up to 30 degrees counter clockwise.
@Swiftstyle6 жыл бұрын
Yes it can angle a bit with stock settings. This unit was previously chopped up so I was trying my best to show what a stock install would look like. You can angle 30 degrees stock or chop some off and get a bit more if you need it.

Is anyone ever going to design a portable turntable that doesn't force right handed scratchers to put their hands in some weird position just to use it? They're basically made for lefties, in my opinion.
