This story reminds me of an EMS call I responded to where a state trooper killed two people, critically injuring and orphaning a 6 Y/O child. The impact split the fatality car into two pieces as it was T-boned and flipped. The trooper was the SECOND car to a priority 3 (Non-Emergency) for an unoccupied commercial building to assist the first responding officer with a building search. The trooper's Impact speed was 128 MPH; I know this because the speedometer was fused at that speed and I saw the speedometer first hand. Troopers recorded top speed (Body computer) was 140+ MPH. The department and trooper were sued., The trooper was suspended for six months paid, Served 90 days in county lockup for wreckless driving, and was allowed to resign so he can keep his pension LEO credentials, and benefits. Miraculously, the child did recover physically, however will have to live with a developmental disability and be cared for the rest of his life due to a dramatic brain injury.

I’m going to start this statement off by saying that I’m a former Combat Medic, and have the utmost respect for first responders (FD, PD, EMS), that is the ones who do their job honorably and the RIGHT way. That said, I have lost count of how many Cops, Firefighters, and EMS that I have personally seen abusing their powers with improper use of lights and sirens, JUST to blow through red lights, stop signs, etc just because they didn’t feel like they should have to wait. And these particular instances, they either turned their lights and sirens off once they cleared the intersection, or right before they turned into the parking lot of whatever store or fast food restaurant that they decided to eat at that time. 🙄

As far as i am, im concerned cops have a responsibility to be a good example to the public. Driving around like a 18 year old that just did a line of blow should have got him arrested long ago. His supervisor should lose their jobs and be sent to jail with him. A badge isn't a sin shield.

If cops didn't think they can go as fast as they want and do whatever they want and would actually follow not only laws but policies then everyone would be better off. I'm not saying there aren't good cops out there that do that but there's way to many that dont.

If you look at who stands to benefit from something, you will find that often there is a connection. Now, it’s true that there are many opportunists who have nothing to do with the base event and are simply providing a solution or bandaid as a product, but they tend to be late to the game as a result. If the solution presents itself in a timely manner to a very specific set of circumstances, it points to the problem having been created by the profiting party. That’s why I’m asking VPN providers to please stop their wanton assault on our data and to please find another way to fleece us of our money. Please and thanks.
