Larry, Questions; 1) why, when diamonds aren't exactly hard to come by, in gem terms, are they worth such an exorbitant amount? 2) If you trade in a piece for scrap, the shop don't pay for the diamonds, only the weight of the precious metal. Obvs its better to remove all the diamonds before putting in for scrap, but isn't it cheeky of these places to tell us that the stones are worthless when trading in for scrap, when they really cause the huge bump up in price from a plain gold bracelet for example. 3) And I've seen this short on KZbin recently- where it seems the broker/dealer tries to artificially inflate the cost of red diamonds. The earing in the video is a round red diamond, and the gemologist claims there are "no more red diamonds in the world". Is this true, or is it a gimmick for artificial inflation as I suspect. Larry, have you ever thought about turning Gangster Redemption into a TV series? I could see it now: season one starts as you begin making your first heists. Each episode details big portions of that part of your life. Every couple episodes is a new heist. By season 3, it adds in the FBI investigation angle. By season 4 or 5 it focuses on your time in prison. Series finale is they day you're released from prison for good and go home to your family. With the popularity of cop dramas, Orange is the New Black, and anything mob related, I think it would be a very popular series.

Hey, Larry! Here's a question I'd love to hear you answer. Been curious about it for a little while now. How often do inmates get additional charges while they're in prison? How prevalent is that concern for convicts. For big things (violence, killing), and little things (prison wine, theft). How does that work when you're already in the system?

Pretty sure he answered this or mentioned it or someone else whom was an ex-con, and the answer is yes its pretty often, people enter gangs for protection in turn for grunt work which would probably involve violent actions, its like a cycle that keeps inmates in for longer, lets say this: your sentenced for 18 months but because of the crimes you commit while incarcerated you get more and more time. That’s why the prison system is so broken. Hope this helps but I’m unsure if it’s 100% correct

Some pretty good question and some real answers. I always so in group settings that being locked up when I did was a good thing for me. Maybe 5 years in the feds for pot was better than some of the other things I would have done if the situation would have presented itself. Learned a lot in there and the most important thing was I never want to go back. Been out 18 years now so its going good. I got a question. You or one of your crew ever have one of those cartoon fall down or slip moments while doing a robbery? The one that it sucks when it happens but you laugh about it every time you see the person. Or something similiar? Was interesting to watch. Great video

In prison, was there ever a situation where someone came to the law library convinced they were wrongfully convicted in some way, you decided to help them, and then realized based on the facts of the case they weren’t wrongfully convicted? Hey Larry!!! I absolutely dig the content, especially the AMAs. I’m in my 40s and a recently retired “stick up kid” from the Newark-Paterson area. My crew and I would roll up on drug dealers, “trap houses”, bodegas and front as DTs/DEA agents and before anybody knew what was going on they’d be zip tied, duct taped and stacked in a bathtub while we cleaned out the house and took off. Would love to do an AMA or interview with you and your people one day. Hit me up man!

I know a jewelry store near me here in pa just a few yrs ago they got busted for fake diamonds the first sale wouldn't be the fake diamond but what they would do is a yr free cleaning or a life time free cleaning and when they would bring the ring back to get cleaned they would switch the diamond and the sad part is this place is still in business

Very TRUE!......insurance companies pay for the loss, not the Owner! I've had a million Fraud charges on my credit card, and NEVER have to pay it.....it's automatically removed.

One thing people don't understand about insurance is yes the insurance companies hated you but that increases everyone's rates so eventually the store owner has to pay more because of it which hurts small businesses

I'd love to do a legal fake robbery to help train police. The group on youtube called the Dudesons made a video where the local police wanted help to set up a training situation with the police and everyone in the bank in on it. They had to break into the bank with toy guns and steal some planted potted plants then try to evade the police and not get caught. Puzzle escape rooms are popular If I was rich I'd like to build a fake bank in the middle of nowhere full of actors and let people come in and see if they could survive doing a bank robbery against police with paintball guns. Keep changing it up maybe letting them case the bank and come up with their own plans on how to get into the fake vault or the deposit boxes lol.

hi Larry, 20 years ago I bought a diamond engagement ring at a Zale's in a mall for $4000-it was set in platinum; the engagement fell through and she gave me the ring back; I tried to sell it to get some money back last month and was offered only $200!!! It seems that to calculate the typical resell value, divide what you paid by 4 and multiply the result by 80%-that is the max you can expect back!

True, jewellery stores mark up stock ridiculously. I remember buying a ring, nothing outrageous, I ended up having to sell it and I didn't even get close to 10%. Hence, I've never been tempted to buy again!
