a majority of the fans like both equally. It's mostly because the songs they cover don't usually overlap. No harmonica...no instruments at all with Home Free. Adam Rupp is often called "A Freak of Nature" and "sounds like he swallowed a drum kit"....there are several solo videos (taken by fans at a concert so no copyright issues) where you can see his solo part of the show while the guys take a break.

Austin Brown (singing most of the lead) spent years in college (on a music scholarship) learning to nullify his Georgia accent. When he joined Home Free they told him to stop trying. Home Free has a very deep song book. Their cover of John Mayers "In the blood" is exceptional, as is the cover of "How great thou art". They seem to like to have fun even if it is at their own expense. If you want some goofy, try their "Butts Remix". If you like a more theatrical bent to your acapella music you can add in Voiceplay to your reactions. I don't really personally know many Home Fries who also like Pentatonix, and I know quite many all over Europe and the US. It's not because we don't think they are talented, because they are all incredibly so, but because their style of music and arrangements aren't appealing to us. It's nothing against them, it's just a matter of taste. Next time they go to Sweden you should come! They love it there because we all sing along! 😁 When they do this live they use a looper for some of the background sounds, which they record live during the show, and Adam and Austin do a vocal harmonica duet. Chance was doing the mouth harp sound in the beginning and the end. This was filmed in S. Alabama…lots of gators in the south. Home Free and PTX both won their seasons on the NBC show the Sing Off. You don't have to pause Home Free videos. PTX is terrible, but HF and VoicePlay reactions never get blocked. Six months ago, Petra (also Swedish) reacted to this song and did it without a single pause. FrenchTastic (Marie) reacts to HF all the time and has never paused her reactions. It's the same for reactors elsewhere in the world.

Since you've already done a candid reaction, it won't hurt to take a look at Petra's video and see if there are any obvious differences in the way she did it and the way you tried and failed. Her reaction is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqHIp62BnqyakMk Sometimes Marie is blocked by artists that are no problem for reactors in the US and Canada. She's convinced that it's because she's in France.

They don't exactly have a Mitch but Austin is singing low for this song, he has an amazing range and his high end is beyond good. You should also add Voice Play and Geoff C. solo's (their bass) into your journey, all 3 are too good to pass by. I watch too many reactors so I kind of see what works best, just some thoughts if you want them... I would try to do your pauses between their singing bits rather than in the middle of them and after a pause it's nice to go back a few seconds to start up again. Also you don't need to apologize for pausing, we all know how it works. Keep up the good work.

PTX and Home Free are both Winners in their own seasons of The Sing-Off; PTX won Season3 and HF won Season4, so they're equally the best per Sing-Off standard. No Harmonica, all vocal....most of the members can do certain sounds/instruments....Check out Adam Rupp Drum Solo...look for a newer one as his skill set has improved over the years....he truly is amazing.

It's worse than that. No harmonica. No jaw harp. No vinyl record crackle at the beginning. Just voice. Interestingly, Adam Chance does the jaw harp using harmonic overtone (aka Tibetan throat) singing, which makes sense since that method works really well for basses and baritones and he is kind of both. And of course, no drum kit. Try their Sea Shanty medley for castanets!

@@Reckyj , that's the impression I got. I didn't hear anything in this video. I did hear you catch yourself and change the wording. There's just too many crazy religious people who will make your life miserable anyway so don't give them another reason to give you grief!! Now I'm going to go watch another one of your videos!😎😎😎😎

@@Reckyj I say F*ck and Sh*T with ease but I never EVER combine the holy and the profane. Not "holy" and then some profanity and not "Jesus" and then some profanity. There's a line we all draw about things and that's mine. I think there's a lot of good sense behind it if you have any respect for people's faith. ..
