Good job. Make sure to oil the bit when drilling metal, though. Keeps them from dulling rapidly.

Wear some eye protection with those saws. I had an old beam and in it was a piece of wire. This video reminded me of a cartoon. A tree made into a toothpick. Nice job

There's no rocket science in there: wires are connected in parallel. You don't even have to worrry about the wattage: they're LED bulbs, low power lightning.

You would just need to pigtail the wires together to your main electrical feed. Any standard electrician should be able to help you out.

Well, glad you used the ladder to string the lights. Would've been too hard to have your girl on a ladder while you tried to hang it. Way too safe. Socks and 2 people on a flimsy table. Way better. Cool project though.
