I’ve been very inspired by your teaching and I would like to learn more about Islam. Could you recommend an English version of the Qur’an, please? I would be very grateful.
@spiritualexcellence4 жыл бұрын
Peace and light be with you, Marie. The Yusuf Ali translation is poetic and a classic, though far form perfect. Also the translation by Muhammad Asad, himself a convert to Islam, is very good. I have not read it yet, but the recently compiled Study Qur'an may be a good one as well. Just bear in mind that any translation is in fact an interpretation, and that many words and verses can be interpreted and understood radically differently dependent upon the depth of perception of the one who is reading the Qur'an. With a sincere heart, Allah Almighty will guide and inspire you with light and truth. Be well and blessed, to your divine and eternal success.

Thank you for your important job! God bless you! I would like to ask you to make some glossary for words you are using. For example, humility, surrender. Their Arabic equivalent. For me is not clear, which one is “taslim”. Will appreciate you feedback. 🙏🏼

My condolences Emma, may his soul be raised with light and with ease into the Divine Presence. Yes, the Prophet ﷺ stated that one who dies from a plague will die as a martyr, and this is one of the greatest ranks and achievements. With God's grace, your father-in-law is in a beautiful place and in a blessed state.

Forgiving, apologizing, loving & surrendering to those who wrong you means surrendering to more abuse. No amount of breathing takes the injustices away. Should we then forgive, let go and succumb to more insults, more intimidation, more humiliation, more destruction of our dignity, spirit and soul, while we are still hurting, reeling in pent up rage & anger of their continuing recent and past controlling, nasty ego-centric behaviour and actions, ruining whole lives for decades, while we have not even begun to heal? Living, has been made into a nightmare! Acting intelligently, is staying well away and staying safe from such people even if they are your 'near' relatives, people you once loved who are still hurting you from the continuing darkness they keep spreading in your life! No matter how much compassion you give, neither staying away nor contacting them gives out any God given 'light'. They make your entire life miserable as there is no closure.

I have had the same kind of traumatic experience with someone who crushed me emotionally, yet this person was 'supposedly' taking the spiritual path. They consciously knew they were doing something against the shariah and sunnah of the prophet but they didnt care and did it anyway and worse still showed absolutely no remorse. For some people, they will never truly change because they are completely blind to their arrogance, hypocrisy and self righteousness. Always looking for faults in others but not really in themselves. For these types of people no amount of information will ever lead to true transformation. Take heart my dear brother and sister for Allah is: Al 3aziz, the almighty; Al Haqq,the truth; As-shaheed, the all and ever witnessing; al baseer,all-seeing; as- Samee3, al hearing; Al waliyy,the protecting friend; Al Qahhar, the subduer; AlHaseeb, the reckoner; Al Raqeeb,the watchful; Al muntaqim,the avenger; Al Hakam, the giver of justice; al Khaafidh, the abaser; 3adl, the utterly justice; Al '3aleem, the all-knowing; Al-qawiy,the strong. Allah doesn't have these names for nothing. If people understood the seriousness of people's rights, they would tread far more carefully. Please listen to Nouman Ali Khan's video on ' picking and choosing' in the religion. He really puts it into perspective, speaking directly from the quran. It really was so comforting to hear.

I've had same experience, I came to feeling so angry that these people get away with everything, then I read a book "the power of now" by Ekhart Tolle it helped me deal with my emotions and I realized the attribute of Allah Almighty being the All Knowing, which means he knows everything, he watches these people and he allows them to be, they have a choice to be good or evil, we have a choice to be patient and trusting in Allahs promise. So I try to do the same, if you judge them while around them it causes you to react negatively which then creates chaos, but if you hold the knowing of what they are, and keep your distance, by not interacting with them like just ignore them why give your attention and focus to them when you can use that energy on yourself. May Allah make it easy for all of us who's dealing with the hypocrites Ameen

Also what I realized is there's a reason these people target us, if you are empathic like me, you probably from childhood realized something wasn't right but due to fear you changed the narrative to protect yourself, where the rest of the family knows there is an abusive person we project our goodness on to them and then we become the one who's wrong, in order to heal you have to go back and correct whatever wrong assumptions you made in order to survive

hafsa26 : I hear you and feel your pain and totally understand you. Never take abuse from anyone dear one. Certain dispositions in people that we come across in life and even in our families ARE out of the normal. Narcissistic personality disorder beeing one of the really awful, damaging and detrimental ones. People who have not been in the receiving end of that kind of mental and emotional violence and abuse have no idea how it truely is and feels. They can not comprehend how manipulative these individuals can be and that their faith even is something they use as a tool for power and control. In islam we do not abuse anyone nor do we take abuse from anyone. No no❤️. And you can still evolve spiritually even if you must have little or none to do with someone abusive; of course you can. You can remove yourself from the abuse and or minimize contact and seek to heal mentally and emotionally. You can set boundaries and start healing from within. It is important to proces what has happened so u dont get stuck in these traumas. And when and if you forgive one day, then take the lesson with you forward. Forgiveness helps you and your health, but it does not mean going back into anything abusive. I hope you find this helpful❤️
