Acyuta, you are the reason why I began reading Cosmos and Psyche by Richard Tarnas. It is the densest, most theoretical body of knowledge I have ever embarked on. My conceptualization of the complex world that we find ourselves inhabiting has been significantly broadened and deepened. YOU are easily the most well-read astrologer on KZbin, and this is why more people need to find you.

Thank you. This was extremely helpful. There was also a children's (?) book you mentioned a couple of months ago maybe about archetypes ?

Wow, we are so on the same page! This is a great list Acyuta, and helped me with a few I was thinking of adding (Nick Campion & others). Btw under normal circumstances would never miss a conference lecture of yours that I hadn't heard, but my local friend Drew is giving his *first* conference lecture ever at QAC during the same time slot, & wanted to be there to support him! Hopefully GLAC conference attendees will have access to recordings! Sad we can't all be there in person, but looking forward to this weekend all the same! :)

Hello Acyuta-Bhava, Thank you for this video. I found this to be helpful. History helps orient me in any study that I undertake. I’ve been wondering about good texts out there for astrology since I’m beginning to explore more the earlier traditions of astrology. If you are able to and have any recommendations in the following areas, I’d appreciate a video or comment on what to consider studying: -Astronomy of the planets that helps to understand astrological concepts, theories, and applied techniques. -Mythology of the planets (many texts refer to or talk about the myths associated with planets...but I haven’t found anything specifically dedicated to it.). Perhaps good mythology texts in general. -How to draw up a chart by means other than technology. How did the ancient astrologers do it? I feel this would be helpful in case anything were to ever happen to the internet that prevented people from accessing charts this way. I appreciate the videos! Gassho, Shoka

Do you have any recomendation of a book that explains quite in detail the history and (more important) the mathematical/astronomical basis of most prevalent house systems? If it includes topocentric system even better. I know how they work almost all of them but I'd like to have a book in my hands that compiles all of that to do further research on the topic.

A list without Dane Rudhyar, Stephen Arroyo and Howard Sasportas, three of the four major authors of all times?... At least Liz Green in on the list. Learning astrology missing the other three can represent a great loss.

While I've read just about everything by the authors you've mentioned I have never found any of them to be particularly compelling. I think Rudhyar gets a lot of things wrong, in fact, though I appreciate his work on the lunar cycle a lot. They are important figures in modern astrology but remember that I'm a traditional astrologer more than a modern astrologer. Also Sasportas and Arroyo's work is very similar to the work done by the CPA which I did mention...and neither of them come close to the level of Liz Greene in my opinion.
