As someone who played the original game only and on very casual level, can someone explain what are these surrenders? He has huge army and just from decides to throw a surrender? It appear to me that he could have played the game, or cant he? He just stands his army in the middle and taps out.

Not a pro here, but he ran out of gold, didn't have map control and good corners to place a market. Economically he was far behind, only Mythic Age could save him but hard to get there in this situation. Maybe somebody else could explain better

@@REGAL-uf1nz But why he doesnt try at least to fight with the army? You just build the army and surr? Could have try some raids or something I dont know. It seems to me that AoM players throw early surrenders in often (not specifically in this match).
