I am a big fan of the old Tricasters (I have 2 of them). I have been using products like the Black Magic Intensity Shuttle to record to computer and upstream the quality. This looks like a solution I can use to address a smaller setup profile and record my mix. What a great new tool for an old setup. I am buying one today.

If you see a recurring 'Oops Something has gone wrong' message on the ViewPro, the solution is to press the 'OK' button on the device for 10 seconds. I spent hours trying to fix this, but the above works.

Hello. I have a question. Can you connect normal headphones via the line out socket? And if so, what is the quality like? I bought this device 2 years ago and had problems with the headphone connection. So unfortunately I had to send it back.

No. The unit's screen will turn black and the TV will have both the video image and the menu.
