The pop-off afterwards was because of the disrespect from the crowd. They were unanimously against him even before the match started, and did not cheer him or his performance at all. He hugged his opponent afterwards as a sign of a respect.

Nobi is the actual Dragunov main, but Atif shut him down, with his best form of active defense. Atif would have won the EVO easily if he played the same against Arslan. But they both have played each other thousands of times so he respected Arslan too much. Otherwise I'm sure any player would be scared to face Atif after losers finals.

Arslan was suppose to win this tournament so no matter what would have happened Arslan would have won the same. So people need to stop saying if atif would have used the RA then he would have won or if he picked feng from the start then he would have won or if he played against Arslan like he did with nobi or any other opponent then he would have won. No! he was destined to lose this one and so he did. Call it fate or luck, it was always been Arslan's win. And no i am not Arslan's fan, i just believe in fate/destiny/luck type stuff.

The pop off he did in the end was at the crowd because most of the crowd, if not all of the crowd, was only supporting Nobi. So it was his way of showing them karma is real. I seriously believe and seeso many Pakistani wins over the years as karma coming full circles at/because of the crowd not supporting Pakistani players for what evee good or bad reason. I was also skeptical about Arslan but after this evo win he has nothing to prove, well he had nothing to prove already after his last years victories (specially evo and twt 2023).
