For most Doobie Brothers fans, the Brotherhood lp is a grail. What great finds, you can tell this man loved good music. took care if his vinyl.

I got it from the UK about 10 years ago, when it was still $5 and shipping was reasonable $20. I found a sealed Cycles and Farewell Tour at a thrift store a buck apiece. Now I just need 2014s Southbound on vinyl, which came out more recently. They need to release the double live 96 CD on vinyl. Nothing makes me happier than throwing a CD in the garbage and replacing it with the real thing

That collection reminds me of a lot of the friends I grew up with, sad that so many of them are not longer here but his music will last forever. The second carton of the flip video had Joe Farrell - Moon Germs, classic CTI Jazz with Stanley Clarke on bass, a must have.

OOW, that last box had a copy of the self-titled 1972 release by Malo. Carlos Santana's brother. Check out the cut, "Sauvacito." Terrific. If you are not familiar with it, you will be very happy you gave it a listen.

I can’t help but think the guy who died and I would have gotten along, based solely on his taste in music. (I’m adding the Love album to my want list. Thank you Dillon! Remember to be nice to us CD collectors who watch you videos. 😀)

As you flipped, I saw more post vinyl era - Stormfront, Armchair Theater, Rickie lee Jones from 89, end of innocence, Cowboy Junkies, Eric Johnson, Sting (super rare), even those Anita Baker Compositions and Basia are super rare. I usually use 1988 as the dividing line. Anything after that, super rare

Anyway thanks for your posts. I look forward to your videos and especially when you make these great finds and purchases. Keep it going and keep it vinyl!

I stresses me out thinking about selling all my records(CDs, cassettes too) and stereo gear. I just value music and art more then money. Food shelter and a car is more important to live but if I didn't have physical media, living would not be as fun. Sure I could probably stream everything on a smart phone, computer, tv but it gets tiring to stare at a screen all the time.

Going to an auction on Saturday with a stack of albums has I'm guessing Roger Daultry on an all black cover wearing shades with the word " TOMMY " & wondering if it's worth picking up the stack. Probably get the stack for under 20 bucks.

I figured out pretty quickly that it must be an estate - that's how the big collections come on the market. You are very nice to pay up, but I'm sure this will quite profitable anyway. I have a bunch of 1990s and 2000s originals of the artists I collect - Neil Young, Richard Thompson, Graham Parker - I bought them when they came out.

Well and good, I just wish you would post videos that the vast, vast majority of us vinyl collectors can relate to. I've never run across a guy with a billion records that are always in pristine condition, filled with nothing but grails along with throwing in a bunch of high end equipment. But hey, 10 a.m. those go in your shop! Glad for the info so I can buy a plane ticket from California to your store. Useless. A little interesting because I like the records themselves.

Anyone who pays up for sealed records is over paying . I can and have re-sealed records so good that it has fooled some very savoy online sellers who bought them . I can transfer the hype sticker with zero glue residue that a black light will see. The breather holes I make identical to the original shrink. ( I always buy records in shrink and copy the breather hole placement and diameter ). And I always seal mint looking records just in case they open it. But most of the time they don’t . The seams I create look original . They are very clean. The newer the record is the easier it is to make the sealed record appear original. I won’t seal very old records for that reason
