I opted to take it easy on this RSD. I went out on Sunday. Picked up the Pearl Jam, Parliament and Jazz Dispensary (I've been getting these for a while). I wanted the Talking Heads but haven't been able to locate one and I'm not paying $150 for one.

I’m glad you love RSD and have great experiences! RSD is designed for people like yourself Older people with disposable incomes who can afford to pay the higher prices on RSD the companies charge It’s just a shame that the companies continue to raise prices every year for live albums and colored vinyl and picture discs but if people don’t complain they will continue to raise their prices every year
@hubtunes96076 ай бұрын
Hey Dave, I pretty much live check to check, but thanx for making an assumption. It took me months of putting away cash for me to be able to get what i wanted. I am older though! You just have to be smart and know what you’re buying and budget. Don’t buy silly picture disks or crappy live albums. Don’t buy RSD firsts. Education is the key. I honestly, overall, i don’t find the prices to be much higher than every day prices. There always are exceptions though
@budsmoker42011206 ай бұрын
Yep, I have to agree genx and boomers are driving these prices. It forsure not millennials even though we be pushing 40. We don't have the income. Thanks to the previous 2 generations destroying the economy at least twice and surviving a plague.

Great video! I paid $44 for the parliment album here on Long Island. The hidden treasure for me was the Bernie Worrell album. Keyboardist for the parliament funkadelic and prob less well known for the talking heads stop making sense. Nevertheless, it was a tribute album that had a wall of musicians ranging from Fred Wesley, Bootsy Collins, Leo Nocentelli, to new school muscians like Marco Benevento and bucket head. The album is fantastic. 👍

Cool haul...not much of a Dead fan though...i picked up RSD stuff in 2 installments plus 1 online... didn't get the Hives titles yet, have em on CD, but will & yes they smoke live...what i got were (part 1) Ramones, Parliament, Sparks/Noel, Dead or Alive, Golden Earring, Elton John & David Bowie (disappointed black vinyl, prefer colour or splatter), plus the Target exclusive Taylor Swift TTPD on clear vinyl & online got the Dwight Yoakam CD box...yes i mostly buy CD...and today (part 2), got the Sonic Youth, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Cheech & Chong, this cool & cheap funk comp Westbound Sound, Paramore (with the remixes) & Lowell George (again, black vinyl & only version, woulda been better coloured like that green inside the jacket or white, on a Little Feat)...

The RSD is the money printing machine of the Paltten Industry. Plates for 40 euros and more. This is no longer possible for a "collector" to buy RSD records. In America the collectors buy on the RSD records One like others in the supermarket food. A Black Sabbath is sold on the RSD for 50 euros and offered on Ebay for 100 euros on the same day. This has nothing to do with collecting plates anymore, just business!

That new Bowie seemed like a ripoff. I have several albums like that Jerry Garcia. Just don’t tuck in the tab and it will last. I didn’t say it last video but Mexican Radio was not on Wall of Voodoo’s next album. Wall of Voodoo were a favorite of mine in the late 70’s. That Wall of Voodoo price hike is crazy.
