Good on you sticking to your values, thanks, that's why we're here: to see what's "available" and not just "inspirational", or more so, aspirational... As for the prices they charge for the OP series with their lack of customer service and device warping issues I'm certainly not bothered about owning one. That being said, anything who can lend me one for the weekend to sample the f*CK out of it then please reply!!! 👍👍👍😂😂😂

I've got some new OP-1 content in the works! A little different than my normal stuff but it should be fun.

Great vid, been cool to see how these can be used together However I don’t get the logic behind your opening statements about not showing the op-1 in your channel lately; I’ll explain why there are people who spend a lot of money on one thing that does it all (like a deluge, octratrack, op-1, mpc, modular system, good laptop etc). and that is all they need there are also people who buy loads of budget things that’s mainly does one thing each (POs, volca, these new rolands, effects pedals, behrigers, mixers, minilogues/monologue and other little cheap things etc) and they keep going because the low price encourages them to keep spending Neither is better than the other, It’s the same system but different spending habit; just like with buying expensive phone unlocked vs contract where you end up paying more just to pay less in the short term instalments. Either way your spending a lot of money and that’s the flaw of this “budget” perspective the stance of your channel being about budget equipment only makes sense if you truly believe someone is buying a pocket operator and stoping there. that’s unlikely. whats more likely is that your channel is encouraging people to add to their existing setups by buying loads and loads of budget equipment which makes them think less about how much they cost or how much they will be spending overall. To prove my point, I bet you didn’t realise your entire setup other than the “all in one” boxes (deluge/op-1/mpc) is worth more then any of them. Most people don’t think about overall expenditure if it is done bit by bit but that’s the issue imo, people shouldn’t be tricked into spending more long term. I’m sorry for the semi-rant and I do like your content, I just think you should focus on gear you find fun to use rather than whole budget thing as you seem to be seeing it only in positive when in reality it just encourages GAS and long term expenditure, which can be equally as bad or worst then just buying an an all in one expensive device like an op-1 imo

First of all, yes, I am constantly running the numbers on the gear that I own haha. I'm well aware that adding up all of the "budget" gear totals far beyond my higher end pieces. My intention is not to trick anyone into spending more money, or even encourage gas at all. One thing you didn't take into account is that I am a content creator. The reason I own a lot of these different pieces of gear is so I can make content with them. Simply try to focus that content on budget year that most people can afford to make music with, which is why the op-1 isn't shown as frequently. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts though, thanks for watching!

Lol! That was awful! But a really good demonstration of the recording and sampling of the Op1. Love the channel by the way!
