That is very good for a mixer priced at that MSRP. I was amazed at only 8 samples, don't know if I ever saw one that low before and it's 24 bit 48K output is very good too. Thank you for the demo and the information on this video, very well done...

Thank you for your videos. It helped me decide to push thru with purchasing the FX8. Install the new drivers on my old MBP and evrything went well. Yes, the no latency when monitoring music & voice, but there's a very audible latency on recording vocals on top of the music (separate channel, of course). Since it's my first time having a makeshift home studio, I'm actually disappointed that I had to do timeshift in DAW to match the vocals with the music. I don't know if this is a normal/regular scenario when recording cover songs. I'd appreciate any inputs from the content creator or from anyone with more experience. Thanks!

I don't have a Mac, so can't comment on how to adjust buffer or latency, but you shouldn't need to time-align any recording in your DAW.

Brother you're the only one that knows anything about these mixers everybody else is posing and pretending to be making videos on how to operate these things LOL I have a question that I know you can answer if I want to hear myself on the headphones louder without affecting the output of my vocals on the notepad 8 what do I need to do? I’ve one question…. When I connect my e drums and play the click track(which is in another track) in the track where I’m just trying to record only the drums the click comes in too how do we separate both of those?

I will assume you have your eDrum connected to CH 2/3. I will assume you have a click track playing from PC on PC return CH 4/5. Then watch this video and follow the details. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKKahoKpn8SLbNE Selecting the driver to CH 2/3, your DAW will only see and record CH 2/3 and not the click track.

To add, the audio control panel on Mac doesn't have the buffer control option.

we connect our acoustic guitar in channel 1 of Soundcraft12fx and connect the mixer to computer through USB, the signal comes into the computer is MONO not stereo. what to do?

Channel 1 is mono, so the same signal should appear on both L&R if you have the USB 3/4 selected as Main Mix. Might want to watch all the videos in the playlist for better understanding. This also depends how you have your recording software setup.

Hello. I am trying to download the 2.0.4 update because I bought the notepad 5 yesterday. Whenever I try to open the application, it says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." Any solutions please? Thank you!

Quick question. I recently got the notepad 8fx. Connected it to.my pc (Dell Vostro) did NOT install any drivers and it automatically picked up as an input (Microphone) and output device. I was able to record perfectly. WITHOUT ANY DRIVERS. I wake up the next morning and it is no longer picking up as as input device on my pc. Called soundcraft and they told me to install the latest drivers and control panel. Which to me was odd since it worked perfectly without it. Anyway I did so and thereafter it picked up as an input device but not microphone as it previously did. Now it was line in. Now here the problem although windows has line in level at 100 and I've turned up gain and level to max on the mixer my recordings are still way too soft. I thought it was the software I was using however it is not the case as windows itself is recieved the signal at a very low volume. Thus no matter what software I use it will always be soft. Sound craft has logged into my pc remotely and assured me all settings are fine. I have even sent the moxer back to them to test and they have assured me the mixer has no issues and is working perfectly on their pcs. So I have tried using it on another laptop but the issue remains. Any idea what's the solution

I will assume when you ran first time, Windows detected the Plug-n-Play driver and possibly further Windows install and restart, required the SoundCraft drivers. How do you have the driver setup for USB? Inputs 1 & 2 or Main Mix?

Sound craft is giving me a bunch of excuses which makes no sense since as I mention it worked the first day. Thanks for trying to assist though really appreciate it

In the driver, select Main Mix for 3&4 and record in your DAW using inputs 3&4.

Is the unit plugged in and power on? Do you have the latest driver installed (2.0.4)? What software are you using? Have you contacted SoundCraft support?

Make sure you have downloaded the latest driver ver 2.0.4. Also try another USB port, or you can contact SoundCraft for support.
