Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing this information! If it want a 100% wet mix from the external FX processor and no dry mix to be sent out via the main outputs, what's the best way to achieve it with this mixer? Much appreciated!

Not possible with this mixer. Unless the FX device has Microphone input, or the audio source is a line level, eg. keyboard or eDrums, that you can connect to it first.

@@RecordingStudio9 when i use the fx i am getting a lot of feedback. just reverb on the fx effect. I do not increase the volume but when I increase the fx knob it starts to feedback.

Thanks for the video. It looks like you can't use the FX loop without also sending the dry signal to the main mix unfortunately.

Correct. FX Send by default is post-Fader. Aux Send on the other hand are by default pre-Fader. Bigger consoles will have the option to switch. Not this mixer.

You showed it works standalone (without computer). If you would use USB connection and then playback some music from your computer, at the same time having mic in channel 1 (as you have) you could mix those two signals together and send to main output? I would be supergrateful if you could replay.

Yes, you can and that’s the point of the USB audio.

Multi effects pedal Nux Cerberus Question: How should I go about it so that I can use the Delay/Mod on the multi-effect pedal for all/any Keyboard/guitar/vocals.. And the multi-effect pedal for guitar effects.. And be able to loop it.

FX or AUX send is always mono on 99% of all mixing boards. Q802USB has stereo FX return sockets and input level.

Normally if a mixer includes a built-in FX, and comes with only one AUX/FX send, when you insert a plug to the Aux/FX socket, it disconnects the internal FX.

Well im curious on how you would hook the all thing up with 802S, hailing that the 802s doesnt have neither aux return nor aux level knob , lets say i plug the pedal outs to line 7/8 instead, how does the fx signal merge with the direct one on channel 1 for example without latency ?? well thats what they suggest in the manual but it doesnt make sense rn

That is correct. The signal from ch1 will go to main, fx send taps to that signal and sends out of FX send to pedal. The pedal returns to ch7/8 mix to main. Any usb audio return on ch7/8 is merged with pedal signal.

The FX send of each channel is mono and pre-Pan, so turning the channel Pan left or right will have no effect to the signal sent to FX Output. FX Return is also stereo. If your FX gear has output balance, you can use that to Pan left or right. If not, just unplug the cable from the FX gear end, leaving the cable plugged on the mixer, will return the audio just Left or just Right. Hope this helps.

What about the impedance levels? The fx send is instrument level? Can I conect instrument level on line level?

FX out is LINE level signal. Most FX devices accept line level, unless you are using guitar pedals.

The user manual (mediadl.musictribe.com/media/sys_master/h8e/hf1/8849830543390.pdf) does not mention if internal FX is disconnected. Some mixers disable the internal FX when a jack plug is inserted to the FX output socket.

The Shure Super 55 is a dynamic mic. Using external FX has no relevence to any mic, it's for all the input channels.

The xexyx 1002 has a send but it doesn't have this stereo aux return. Will it still work to connect a guitar fx pedal? Maybe through one of the channels? Does somebody know?

You can use any of the line level inputs as the Aux return. Just make sure that return channel's FX send is at min at all times.

If the FX device connected creates phase shift, then not much you can do. There are phase correcting units but probably cost more than the mixer ifself. But most reverb and echo FX modules don't have phase conversions.

My first question is, is an effect pedal connected to both? My other question is, for example, let's say we used the reverb effect in the effects pedal. If there is fx on the microphone channel and the piano channel, will there be a reverb effect on both channels? I mean, no matter what effect it is, will it have an effect on every channel using fx? @@Georges-rp1qi Correct, you need Mic pre-amp as most EQ/Comp/Gate are line level devices. Try finding a Mic-Pre with EQ and Gate. eg. Behringer VX2000 or UV1

I use colours as the type of cables is dependent on the FX unit used. And if you continue listening, I mention this already. I can’t solve your problem without any further details of your gear.
