Thanks Fran! Glad to hear from you! Sounds like you had an awesome time! I probably would have seen you there if I was able to go. Just couldn't get it together this year. Too many issues. I'm having lunch with Carl today and we're going to discuss our plans for the GC next year. I'm hoping to do multiple trips but I gotta get back in shape first! 🤣

I was born with one in my lower abdomen. Operated on around 55 years ago at 12 and I still remember the recovery. Large cut though I was told the suture was experimental at the time... I healed fast and with almost no visible scar. No problems since, fingers crossed. Hope your mending goes well! I like the personal insights to your videos!

Hey John! Wo... You were born with one?! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your own experience. Glad the surgery and outcome was positive. I'm healing gradually. Just starting to get impatient and trying to stay positive. I have my post op scheduled. Hopefully everything looks good and will be great over time. As always, thanks for watching and commenting!

@@JTJaredTaylor No problem 😊Yes, seems it's a hereditary thing passed down a number of generations on my father's side. In my teens, after oral surgery, a specialist wanted to write a paper on my very rapid recovery from 4 wisdom teeth extractions in hospital. Later, in my 30s, I had more dental surgery to repair bone from a root abscess , the surgeon remarked that he had a difficult time stopping the incisions from sealing back together as he worked! This past summer I was tearing down an old shed and cut my face under the eye along to the side of my nose... My wife thought I needed stitches... Again, remarkably, with a few applications of castor oil, it was 95% gone in three days! Oddly I have very low platelets though I guess good clotting factor. Hope your post op goes well!

I've never had a hernia but I have had a procedure and even a video outlining recovery for procedures and operations could be very useful. I remember trying to prepare for it and doing lots of research, hearing things about not being able to "go" and buying fiber supplements from the US for example. (I am USAian but live in another country and found it hard to find some fiber supplements here.)

Yes, those are some of the things that I experienced. Might be too much information but I literally didn't "go" for a week. I started taking a stool softener and it helped. Fortunately that kind of thing is more available here. Now, just over 2 weeks later things are back to normal and I no longer need it. Thanks for commenting.

how heavy were you lifting?
@JTJaredTaylor3 күн бұрын
Honestly very light these days. Doing higher reps. Back in the day (in my 20's and 30's) I was squatting 315 for reps, leg pressing 800 for reps and dead lifting 385 to 400 (at the most). I could never get over 305 on bench. Kept injuring my shoulder. That said, it's been quite a while since I've lifted heavy.
