adding kahlua or irish cream works *incredibly* well. used to make hot chocolate back in college with Ice 101 or Rumplemintze (peppermint schnapps), a shot of kahlua and a shot of irish cream.

made a drink somewhat similar to the peppermint patty once. a cup of rich hot chocolate, 1/2 oz of peppermint schnapps, some crushed mint candies (both melted into the hot chocolate and on top as a garnish), and 1 1/2oz of Old Monk rum. now that is a truly awesome beverage

Good times! The bits of Archer edited into this and the puniness in general is great, makes it more than just your average cocktail recipe video. A bit funny you used a $70 bottle of armagnac with DeKuyper creme de menthe though. Tempus Fugit has a version that would probably be a better companion for the quality of the other ingredients. Just a thought. :-)

While this sounds pretty good (especially for a cold winter day) I usually prefer drinks with few ingredients of high quality with my current favourite being a rusty nail or just a good single malt (if that counts)
@antonradke59435 жыл бұрын
Me personally I don’t use creme de menthe at all, I just use rumplemintz because unlike most peppermint schnapps’ rumpies is 100 proof, and also absurdly pepperminty. So it ends up being fairly strong without the Brandi.

*@Cocktail Chemistry* It's cheating to use factory made chocolate powder ;P Use this: *2-3 Tbsp of 100% cacao powder* (maybe 4 if you want a really powerful cacao) *2 Tbsp of brown sugar* (preferably Muscovado sugar or some other brown sugar) *1 Tbsp of vanilla sugar.* (play around with the amounts until you find the taste that suits you) Flavorings (choose one (or mix at your own risk)): * 1 ml cinnamon * 1 ml Mint essence * 1 ml to 1 Tbsp maple syrup (It kind of raises the fat flavor so it tastes like it has cream but it's still only milk) *

I'm wondering is going with some really dark, unsweetened bakers chocolate, melting that with cream, would make it a little less sweet. There's gotta be enough sugar in the schnapps to sweeten it up plenty.
