I ended up taking my head rest off. You can't really use it when riding roads that are even just a little bumpy, they just bang into the back of your neck. The only use is when stopped and resting, I found.

The real reason for the headrest is to stop your neck from snapping back in case you are rear ended.

I believe you can get replacement batteries or lights from Lazer or possibly from Shimano, who distributes them in the U.S.

At 49 seconds in, you could of have a bit more fun. "It gets.." BAM!! "...transmitted..." BAM!! "...right into the back of his..." BAM!! .."skull". I have an Optima Baron Lowracer, along with a Fujin SLII. I am running into issues with running longer rides and some fatigue in holding my head up. What do you have in stock that would be a good headrest for my bikes? I am using fiberglass seats currently. I

Ha, Ha! I don't think Scott would have found that fun. Anyway, I would suggest using either an ICE Hardshell Headrest hostelshoppe.com/ICE-Neck-Rest-Hardshell-39336/ or an HP Velotechnik Hardshell Headrest hostelshoppe.com/HP-VELOTECHNIK-Carbon-Fiber-Adjustable-Head-Neck-Rest-39847/ . These two headrests are the most versatile in mounting to other brands of recumbent fiberglass and carbon seats. The ICE headrest has more height adjustment. You will have to drill some holes in your seat. Be sure to tape the carbon fiber or fiberglass in the area you are drilling with painters tape before drilling. This will prevent fraying and splintering of the fibers, and the tape comes off easily. Mark your holes and then drill, remove the tape and install the headrest. Let us know if you have any more questions.

I just ordered the ICE headrest. Pricey, but my longer randonneur rides are going to require it. I usually get neck soreness around the 75-100 mile, depending on the season.

Check out the Giro Prolight Helmet. I have been using mine for almost 7 years. I have tired others, like the Lazer, but nothing has been more comfortable, lightweight and reliable as the Giro Prolight Helmet. I honestly forget I'm wearing it most of the time. They stopped making them for some odd reason, so I would get one while you can. I just checked ebay and there are a few for sale in all sizes. I paid 199.99 for mine about 7 years ago and it has been worth every penny. The ones on ebay are much cheaper.

It's the Neon model. In the video you can see the model name clearly on the top of the helmet. The Lazer O2 also has the same retention setup as the Neon. The O2 is a higher end helmet that cost more than the Neon. hostelshoppe.com/Lazer-Neon-Helmet-Assorted-1813612/
