I don’t think your cheap....I think it’s smart. I’ve been doing it for years. We waste so much....it just makes sense to reuse them. Good job!

Thanks Hamideh Orra. I'm more of the cheapskate than DFJ is and I've been washing and reusing them for years as well. It's nice to have the birdhouse drying rack. The video of how to make one is called "Cool Ziptop Bag Dryer". Go to kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5vFoWWXar9opZI. Best to you, Dirt Farmer Maggie

Big thanks. I was cleaning out some nasty sandwich bags, wondering if there might be a video on the way I was cleaning them. Your first method is incredibly easy. It really doesn't take that long for them to dry. I just can't comprehend disposing of something after one use. I have about twenty bags. Strangely, I use them to rubber band on cat food cans that are too small for any covers they sell at pet stores. Thanks again.

Also a good way to save the environment. That's why I do it. Thank you for the tip. I was turning them inside out to both wash and dry but your method is way better as they tend to break when you turn them inside out.

I put the bags in the microwave 2 minutes on high to dry and put them in the freezer so any bacteria viruses ect are killed off been doing this for years.

+Mike Diesel - good tip! I'll make another video and mention your approach as well. DF Maggie has used that method and likes what we featured better - just a matter of preference. See didn't like the fiddling with getting the corners completely turned inside out. Nonetheless, you've got a proven method as indicated by all of your kids using this successfully, so I may feature this - and give your posting a few seconds of fame as well. Thanks again for writing. Best to you and yours. - DFJ

Love the bird houses with multiple sticks.wish I had one of these. May have to make one. We reuse bags all the time. Dry them on a chopstick stuck in a glass small pop bottle..

Great tip! Yep been reusing bags for years. Mom turned them inside out and put them in the sink with Dawn dishwashing liquid and some bleach. no matter what was put in them they are clean again. Love The Birdhouse sticks. Looks like I'm heading to the garage for a scrap wood project... 😁👍

Fyi Dawn does nothing for the planet. Their marketing saying they help saving Wild Life Is A Lie. Chemical and artifical dyes in their soaps. terrible.

Jay, a very good tip on average. But, the caveat, every action has associated costs. The heavily soiled requires the use of more water, cleaner and agitation. And so, as you say, it's easier to reuse the cleaner bags. You can also dry them faster putting them on top of something warmer. I like the towel trick but then that might be considered slightly soiled and also need to dry. But then your dish towel has the same circumstance - I let those air dry until next time myself. With everything it's what's judged best for the situation and that's a tool - your experience. Very good. Thanks.

Thanks for a tip to make the drying faster, especially in humid climates :-) I typically use a baby bottle drying rack, but I’ve also seen someone use a mitten drying rack. This is my first time visiting your channel and I’m going to subscribe. :-)

For me it's not about being too darn cheap to throwing plastic bags after using them multiple times. away for me it's about the environment. Plastic floating on the ocean the size of two Texas's! It is disgusting and extremely sad.
