I was thinking, those old slabs could make a pretty good gravel bin.... stood on edge, and afixed to each other with rebar or something. You have enough, to stack them flat, and you'd still have a pretty good gravel bin.

I found this channel by accident, and now its my favorite. I love the back and forth between these guys. They are hilarious. They are also very hard workers, which i like because i know hard work. I pour concrete foundations and flatwork. We also try to have as much fun as these guys do, and also try to make light of crappy situations.

All of those concrete slabs that came out of the pig barn could be installed in front of the shop where it's currently gravel. They get put to use and you get a hard surface that has the ability to drain some water. A win-win in my book. The support beams can be used in areas like parking lot curbs. They're free.

Smart idea
@Meowschitz
@Meowschitz 2 жыл бұрын
That’s a good idea man that only problem is we is if the slabs can’t handle the weight of 30-40 ton tractors and combines. Say they handle the weight and hold up just fine because they are all individual slabs they will sink and settle at different rates and so instead of being one nice smooth slab they will all be un-even and won’t be smooth transitions form one to the other. Set theoretically you do a perfect job setting all of them and they all settle at the same rate then maybe it would work but the odds of that are slim to none. Honestly it was a great idea man and you could definitely find somewhere to use them but i think out front of the shop wouldn’t be the best place but who knows maybe it would work out perfect I don’t think so but definitely re use them somewhere instead of getting rid of them. So I wasn’t trying to be a dick I think it’s a great idea just somewhere else instead of the highest traffic area on the farm.

@@victorcross5949 my point was that if you are young and work with your father everyday it can be anything but fun to go to work everyday. Dads may be super intelligent and have the best intentions but teens and dads don’t always mix well. They need space and a few years sometimes before they can work together well. It’s just nature.

@@TheEggeee2 I agree my family found it stressful to work together, I am much closer to my son now he is 40 years old. I think some family's have a stronger desire to be independent, other work well together.

Thanks for another great video Chet. Was interesting for sure. The remodel on the old hog house is coming along real good and looks pretty darn good if you ask me. I must admit the different parts of the hog house came out fairly easy. Getting the slats out went really good. You are going to have a lot of room in that building for storage as you want. Amazing how this is coming together. Well planned you guys. Getting the finer points of the project done should go good. Doing well and looks good already. See you have a younger helper, how does he fit into the family???? Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next one on the remodel project. Appreciate your time to do the video.
