I'm a hobby scrapper and am holding all my material right now. I tell everyone, i have more faith in the value of the metal than I do in the dollar.

That's awesome! Last week, I found $600 plus worth of copper. A company threw away these one inch or inch in quarter straps that go around in like a doughnut shape. Kind of like what comes out of a motor but it's not for a motor it was used To make Magnetic fields, an unbelievable find. There could have been more, Maybe, I'm not sure but there were so many files in there, I had to dig through those too. Came away with some very large pieces of aluminum and large wire also, It was a dumpster scrapper's dream about, Very grateful, I have to pay rent.

I been tearing down computer towers. I got around 50 of them from the college. As well as all their printers and flat screens. Also about 200 pounds of cat 6 network wire. Surprised no one else came for all it. Was sitting there a few days after their sale.

I bet if you smacked the stainless crimped ferrule with the sledge once or twice after you've cut the brass fitting off the ends, you could recover the bit of brass inside and the clean stainless. More work for that sore shoulder!
@jrand26319 ай бұрын
You would still have the rubber hose inside, so no not clean stainless, still dirty and a lot more work for basically nothing.
