Did you add a beaten egg before adding the water? No mention in the recipe but on the video it looked like it. I am just going to make some!

When I lived in Boston I would often go to the old Sears building complex in Porter Square where a seller in the hallway had a counter and they sold donut-like pastries filled with red bean paste and a thick, luscious white cream. I can’t find those anywhere here in Montréal and even though I have several close Japanese friends none of them know what I’m talking about. Does anyone know what they care called? Arigato!!

@@autumngarden4284 thanks you for responding. Well, no. A dango is very specific. The outside of the donut looked just like the donut you make, the one in the youtube video image, but inside had red bean paste and sweet cream.

@@autumngarden4284 After. Among your recipe, I si ply made my own whipped cream and filled the donuts. This is very close to the donuts I had in Boston so this will have to do for now. I think the cream used was either whipped cream or pastry cream as I remember it being slightly yellow in color.
