Hey Rob! Glad to see the shrimp are doing well in the new shrimp room! Not sure if you got my email, but a separate question: I know you said that protein helps female shrimp with producing good clutches/babies. I have Shrimp King Complete, would you suggest I get Shrimp King Protein or Bacter AE as a second food? Many thanks!
@LupDiesel7 жыл бұрын
Hey Mackenzie!! Thank you for the comment. I would probably go with protein if you don't already have babies. If you have babies now, I'd go with bacter ae because it will help keep all those babies alive :) Thanks for the question, it was a great one!
@mackenzieferguson45997 жыл бұрын
I've got a couple of babies, but they are probably double the size of the ones in your video. Unfortunately, the female with the bad eggs never dropped them. She tried to molt with the eggs still attached and didn't make it. One of the other females got berried, but died a couple of days later. Not sure what it was from, her eggs looked normal. Any thoughts?

Hi wonder if you can advise me, I cant find any information, I am in uk, I bought my granddaughter cherry shrimp, we have 2 red cherry shrimps left started with 5 but loads of none colour shrimps, I first noticed the babies in April its now July none of them are colouring up and even more are being born. is it bad stock or something else, thank you
@ollietaylor19917 жыл бұрын
Hi Beverly, Im a uk shrimp keeper too! The ones which lack colour are usually the males - for some evolutionary reason it's the females which have the best colour! The shrimp also colour up more and more as time goes by. Keep your patience and then hopefully you'll see more colour and breeding. If you can set up a cull tank to take out the shrimp with worse colour then that will help you pure breed a solid colour line :)
@beverlyflude91757 жыл бұрын
Ollie Taylor no I haven't got a cull tank how do you do that?
@ollietaylor19917 жыл бұрын
Hi Beverly, I must highlight that you don't NEED a cull tank, it's just to get the colour of your main tank really high quality. A cull tank is a side tank of a similar size to your main tank with the same water. You then move all the lower quality shrimp to that one to live out their lives. If they breed and any of their babies are higher quality you can move those back to the main tank and so on and so forth.

Why are the shrimp so expensive. I understand that you say you always sell only healthy shrimp yet I just can't understand why they get upwards of five dollars a shrimp.
@TheFish7117 жыл бұрын
I could never imagine paying hundred of dollars on a single shrimp but to each their own. Hopefully as shrimp catch on more people breed them driving prices down due to competition. I personally love shrimp and want to get into them and if I do make the plunge I'll definitely be breeding to maximize the purchase.
@nirolord31807 жыл бұрын
Nerd Herd Productions 5 bucks aimt expensive for some hobbyists tho. Theres shrimps with gradings based on shell quality colour and print quality on the shell costing upwards of 30 bucks a shrimp.
@TheFish7117 жыл бұрын
niro lord You see that's the problem for me, a shrimp can only get so colorful that eventually it comes down to if your willing to spend so much money for rather small creatures that will in a short while be worth far less. To me shrimp are like guppies, they're small, colorful, and breed readily, except guppies are far easier to breed and can be bred for far more interesting colors and patterns and are much more active. I'm not hating on anyone that enjoys shrimp keeping, I'm just saying that until prices drop to something more reasonable or until the shrimp are available in more interesting color patterns, I probably won't be dipping my toes any further than ghost or Amano shrimp.

Because it is hard to train people to grade shrimp your mixing grades of red shrimp... That just makes it harder for your customers to know what they are really getting from you and making it harder for customers to really learn the difference in the grades. Not to mention that mixing types of red shrimp is going to change the DNA. 80%*of fatal falls happen under a fall of three feet... Please use a foot stool not a bucket! I am turning off my aquarium that is cycling and will wait a few months hoping that this issue will be corrected I want to get what I order from a store...even if I get a few shrimp that or of a higher grade they still are not what I wanted...but maybe it is just me being odd.

Danielle Kat totally different types of videos, totally different styles, totally different content. Different strokes for different folks. Comparing Rob's videos to Joey's is comparing apples to oranges. Also, not everyone has the budget for top videography equipment and editing software or the time to make the most polished videos in KZbin. Joey makes videos for a living and thus has time to edit his videos with all the jump cuts and b-roll footage, etc. Rob does a great job, provides great content full of great information and is authentic, resulting in high relational value. As for confidence in buying from Rob, if you can't be confident in buying from Rob, you can't be confident in buying from anyone. Lastly, if sales and marketing is your profession, you'll know that typing in all caps and using excessive exclamation points while criticizing someone else's work is not an effective way to influence others.
