Red Clay Strays are an American soul/rock band from southern Alabama. They are currently touring all over the U.S. through the rest of the summer, with a new album announcement coming soon.
Theo is joined by Brandon Coleman and Andrew Bishop of the band Red Clay Strays to chat about their recent rise in popularity, the worst shows they ever played, cross-country van breakdowns, playing in a river rafting shop, getting the chance to open for the Rolling Stones, where they want to go from here, and much more.

The afternoon my daughter was born the first song I sang while holding her, was Wondering Why as her mother was in the hospital bed. That song will always hold a special place in heart
@dustingaddis2423
@dustingaddis2423 2 ай бұрын
When we were in the hospital when our little one was born, the 2nd night, she was screaming bloody murder, wasn't hungry, wasn't hot, wasn't cold, diaper was clean. Nothing could get her to calm down. I played Sturgill's "Welcome to Earth" and she calmed right down and fell asleep in my arms. It was the first time I was able to do something directly for her to make her feel good. That moment comes back every time I hear that song.

The instant understanding that southern people have when conversing amongst each other is so palpable. For the most part at least. Like we just understand each other’s language without pretension in ways that others don’t and I think it’s real cool

So funny to hear they were not happy with that album - it's way better than most everything else out there! Can't wait to hear the new one. Was at their show in Tuscaloosa. It was one of the best I've been to. You could feel the Holy Ghost there and I could definitely see the Pentecostal in Brandon. They're such an awesome band!
