Just one thing from someone who's Polish. Yes, the uprising failed, but in Poland it's seen as attempt to liberate city which would end up destroyed either way. It's more like very desperate action from people who knew they would die. I'm not from Warsaw, but i was always taught to be proud of them for fighting for our freedom. I get that west sees it as utter failure, but something about that part of the song rubbed me the wrong way.
