I’ve accidentally purchased saddles before. I keep thinking there’s more info to view before buying, and hit X. They need to change the setting so that you have to hold down X to buy.

I get the controls for saddle purchasing mixed up with the controls for clothing purchasing. In the stores in order to view all the different colors of the clothing items you have to press X, yet in the stables you view the different colors through the D-Pad. This is especially frustrating if you make this mistake when you barely have enough money to purchase the thing you want anyway.

As of now *the Nacogdoches saddle is the only one which also improves the stamina drain rate* (by -35%). This drain rate improvement was removed from all the special saddles (not to be confused with the core drain rate). Dunno how R* justifies that to the earlier buyers who might have chosen those saddles because of their drain rates from up to -50% ... or maybe they still have this features while only new buyers won't get it. Anyways, it makes the decision a lots easier now. The special saddles are not that special any longer. Just pricy and locked for a very looong time.

When I was going to buy my first good saddle, I tapped the A button (on Xbox) to look at one and it instantly purchased it, because for some reason saddles are the only high ticket item that doesn't use the "Hold button to buy" mechanic. I used the "Sell" option thinking it would at least reimburse a percentage of money. Nope! It's really a "Discard" button in disguise. Well played Rockstar, well played...

Dude! Come on! The Nacogdoches saddle is the best in the game. Even at level 91 it still outclasses the Panther. Once you put Hooded Stirrup on it, it puts your drain rate at -85% While the panther only have -50%

If we *could* upgrade our Special Saddles with stirrups, we'll be looking at a -100% drain rate, resulting in a horse with infinite sprinting. No idea if this is a bug or not, but if it is, I'm gonna use the most of it while I can!

I prefer the other saddle with the guys riding on horses on the horizon, the skull and snake one you bought here looks too Mexican-ish for my taste and wouldn't fit my character. Besides with a higher level stirrup on the saddle, I maxed out my mustang's stats.

Bught tha Nacadoches this last weekend..... I still had the "best" of the worst from launch on my Thoroughbred..... I assumed the Thoroughbred was just Ultimate Edition trash until I put that naccy on it.... now lightning flies out of the horse's ass and I only level 35 (meaning 35% spurs).

That saddle, while beautiful, isn't the best. The stats aren't as good as the special saddles. The Beaver, Panther, and Snakeskin are the best saddles, by FAR.
