The Horse will only Spawn after the mission to hunt the legendary Bear with Hosea if you failed to get the horse you have to rent a room in Valentine Sleep and go back so make sure Your careful doing it or you'll have to restart and its very Tedious

It's not all that complicated, yes the horse will spawn after the legendary bear mission that is true, but it's not all that difficult to find it. Just save your game just before you can see the horse and if you fail to get the horse then just load the game again and again until you get the horse

This guide was straight to the point. Following your advice, I got the horse in one shot - didn't even change into winter clothes. I just drank some alcohol to build up resistance on the spot. (I already did the bear hunt mission, so no problem there.)

When you say hold the the left trigger down, does that mean to press and hold the left stick (L3) or just use the left stick to push on -ve y-axis

if you have messed it up and if you are finding it difficult to get the horse, then i would suggest to not waste anymore time and restart the story again and attempt it just after reaching chapter 2 after that bear mission with hosea. Just make sure to save the game manually just before reaching the horse location.

That is so unfortunate, i would suggest you to understand the dead eye basis and kill the wolfs as they come..
